The Curtis Sisters by Rosie Wynter, Audrey Ashwood

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
These are stories I reviewed before only the story "To Love a Rogue" used to be titled "The Marquess Hand".

To Love a Rogue
This story engages you as a shy woman who suddenly finds that the path to her happiness blocked by lies and cover ups. As Rosalie learns her about the man she settles for, she grieves the one she cannot have. The more time she spends with the Marquess, she discovers things that she doesn't want in a husband. This shy woman soon discovers a strength in herself to do the right thing for herself. Rosalie is engaging and the two men who engage Rosalie's emotions are completely different in character. This story is about what the heart knows.

To Steal a Duke's Heart
One, I must say that I love this beautiful cover, and the sly smile and eyes of our model really portray my image of Grace. This story is well written and well thought out. It portrays all our pride and our self assurances of who we are being torn away to expose the raw and vulnerable side of our characters. Can the duke and Grace rise above the pain they caused each other to find love and forgiveness. Sometimes a very act of evil can cause two people so hurt to come together to save someone they both care for. This story emotionally touched my heart and allowed her characters to be stripped and grow emotionally and spiritually.

To Romance a Scoundrel
I really liked this story. The author really showed the disparity of maturity between the two characters. The Earl of Dalton was a man of character and understood what he wanted from life. Claire, even though she was of age, was a romanticist and immature. Her heart was easily turned by a man who found how to manipulate women by the turn of words. The Earl gave up on her when he found out her heart had turned to Mr. Hawkins. His only thought was of Claire, when he found out that Mr. Hawkins eloped with another woman. Claire discovered what real love is and it is not found in the turn of a word. It is found in a man who is honorable and true to his word.

The Other Harlow Girl (Love Takes Root #2) by Lynn Messina

This is a romp of women's right, only this women doesn't want this right. It would probably wonderful to be the first woman admitted to the horticultural society, but she and her sister have enough infamy. It's ashame she is attracted the Marquess of Huntley, because he is the instigator of this nomination. This story is very funny and the chemistry between the Marquess and Vinnie goes from anger to passion.

A Bluestocking for a Baron : Book 3: Rose: Clean Regency Romance (A Duke's Daughters - The Elbury Bouquet) by Arietta Richmond

I loved this story. Evan and Rose are not just physically compatible, but mentally compatible. Even with our evil villain Farquar, named after our villain from Shrek, and just a smart as are animated Farquar. It was enjoyable romp through the boring aspects of ice houses & refrigeration. The interaction between these brought a smile to my face.

Running to Christmas: A Mail Order Bride Holiday by Annie Boone

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a delightful mail order bride story. Rose is running away from the Whitney family to find a better life for herself. She knows God is guiding her when she meets Sam. He is kind and a Godly man. Sam promises her a wonderful Christmas. This story has all the makings of a Godly family in the making. For Rose, Sam will become her hero, when she begins to trust him.

The Earl Behind the Mask by Abby Ayles

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved this story about two theater buffs. The intrigue of who is trying to destroy the theater and "The Spectre" who performs on stage has Rose at odd. So, at odds that she falls in love with her intended and "the Spectre". Which adds another dilemma to all the problems that are already happening. The characters are delightful in your typical parody play.

A Shifter's Christmas; Boxset (Shifter's Christmas #1-3) by Emilia Hartley

This boxset includes three Christmas stories about shifters, who are alone, lonely or need family.

A Dragon's Christmas
Take a newly turned wolf & an ancient Dragon and a connection that calls to both individuals. We then now have a dragon war for power. This story has the Christmas love of how love can call us home. It was different that it didn't have the sappy ending.

A Polar Bear Christmas
This story is light-hearted and the characters are kind of funny. Of course, after I learned what kind of man Claus is I would be running far away from him, not because he is a polar bear. I think it would be great to cuddle into a polar bear on a cold night. It's the gang thing and the fact he is the gang leaders enforcer. Although I understand the bullying her family as done to Holly, in a way, it has made her stronger than her family. If my family was like Holly's, I would have hooked up with something way bigger and badder than my family. Really on the family shakedown, did they really think they could take down a polar bear? This story made me laugh even though the story had a lot of holes.

A Snow Leopard's Christmas
This story is about a human woman who had a baby by a snow leopard shifter. He left town like all leopard's do and abandon the woman with the baby, but he didn't know about the baby. He comes through town and finds himself drawn back to Ellie. He doesn't understand Ellie's attitude until he meets her 4 year old son. The child is due for his first shift and now he has to tell Ellie all. This story is cute and makes Nolan out to be a good guy, but can Ellie trust him? I've watched leopard's in the zoo. Personally, I would never turn my back on one.

Quest for Immortality: (A shifter Romance Box Set) by Celeste Raye

Each story is actually the same story, just told a different way. The fact these women are all witches, just turned me off the books. To be honest, there is no tension and nothing super-hot as promoted. The stories are okay, but nothing special.

Fated Love - Deluxe Version: Book 1 (The Titans of the Revolution #1) by Sandy Raven

This book has a prequel, a post-story and three stories of how each friend found their true love. I'm going to review all the stories together. Each ties to each other and makes the books well work reading together. It's called Fated because the three friends always go to masquerades as the Fates. The story takes tragedy and turns it into hope. The love between these three women will be forged with the marriage of the three men who love them, but only if they marry on the same day. This story also gives us some perspective from the fathers point of views and an aged aunt. I enjoyed visiting Rathcaven and taking part in the happiness of three women.

An Unforgettable Night with the Desirable Duke

This story draws you in with the disappearance of Emma and how a twist of fate finds Lucy in the the arms of Emma's brother. The story becomes even more twisted as we follow the story and the evil that lurks in the Duke's own home. The story held my attention, because of the bending of the story, and the evil truth of Emma's disappearance, and the chemistry between Lucy & Julian. This story truly has it all and I truly enjoyed it.

A Grand Season to Remember by Abigail Agar

Rating:  ⭐⭐
My first thought after reading this story is that Annis is a selfish coward and she truly couldn't be in love with Oliver. She doubted this man at every turn, and made him absolutely miserable. Was she even sorry after everything was revealed at the end, No! She gave no apology. Our hero is a better person and his only thought was always of Annis. He did not deserve for her to run away, but he did not pursue her either. Which brings into question, why did he run off to the Continent with a broken heart instead of pursuing her and getting an answer? This story has these two failings, and never explains them. Our true heroine is Lucilla, the brave lioness and hero, Elmore, who forces Lucilla and Annis to hear Oliver out. This story is based on farce and this is where it fails, because it is not even funny.

Little Dog Diner, Books 4-6 Special Boxed Set Edition (Emmie Lyn Collections Book 2) Emmie Lyn (Author), Sweet Promise Press (Author)

These are second set of 3 books of Little Dog Diner, Books 4 - 6. Each delightful book is reviewed below.

Cooking Up Chaos
Little Dog Diner is up for business of the year, but the woman who is picketing the businesses in Blueberry Bay ends up dead. Dani is now on the suspect list along with three other business owners. AJ wants to give Maggie a surprise birthday party, and infringes on Dani to get Maggie to the party. It's more mayhem and fun in Blueberry Bay with a dead body at the center of it all. This story is enjoyable as the rest, with one difference. Dani could be next on the murder's hit list.

Crumbling Up Crooks
Danielle is about to get married to her fiance, Luke. When she goes to get their rings, she finds a dead body. As she tries to prove her friend AJ is innocent and there is no cloud hanging over their wedding. It is chaos and mayhem, while interviewing all the suspects and trying to get ready for her wedding. This story is just as funny and chaotic as the others in this series. I enjoy coming back and seeing how these characters are getting along.

Dicing Up Disaster
This story is the first where Luke & Dani are married. They are taking a helicopter tour over Blueberry Bay for a romantic interlude. Dani sees someone jump off a boat and swim to shore during the helicopter ride, but no one believes her. The washed up pair end up in "The Little Dog Diner" and plead for Dani to help them. This one is different because it doesn't have all the witty elements that the first one did, and the tone is much more of a serious nature. All the same, I enjoyed the plot and the wonderful characters of Blueberry Bay.

Little Dog Diner, Books 1-3 Special Edition Boxed Set (Emmie Lyn Collections Book 1) Kindle Edition by Emmie Lyn

The first three books of this delightful series together. I enjoyed each book and it makes for some fun reading.

Mixing Up Murder
This is the first in this delightful series. Dani Mackensie walks into her diner and finds her friend's husband dead. Each character we are introduced to has their own quirky behaviors and will make you laugh. This story has several twists that keep you guessing until the end. In this story, she adopts the dead man's dog, Pip. Her ex boyfriend comes back to town. Her aunt Rose owns Little Dog Diner and the local newspaper, and are introduced to the stern police detective, AJ who arrests the most likely suspect, the wife. This story will make you laugh, smile and want to know more about the Little Dog Diner in Blueberry Bay.

Serving Up Suspects
This story has some very quirky characters, that's includes are resident catering detective. The police detective is chased by a private eye. Our heroine has her eye of an old beau. The woman sponsoring the quilting auction is an overachiever. Our murder victim is a dishrag. The nosy neighbor is a delightful old woman who watches life from her window due to her inability to walk more than 100 feet without help. Each character has their own quirk and makes the story fun. The murderer, well, I got who it was by all his lies.

Dishing Up Deceit
This story has more fun and murder. This time everyone is dishing up lies, including our beloved Rose. Sue Ann is getting married to a man she met online, named Wilson. Wilson seems all sweet on Sue Ann. Ivy Bowman comes to town and gets murdered on the beach. Dani is beside her self when Rose keeps lying to her, and her best friend is hiding something from her. I found myself engrossed in the mystery, but this time I was 100 percent correct from the 3rd chapter who the murderer is. Still finding out I was correct was satisfying and all the fun the story has getting there.

Billionaire's Dilemma by Debbie White

This book contains two stories: The Billionaire's Catch and The Billionaire's Catch 22.

The Billionaire's Catch
This story is about a billionaire dad and a poor single mom. They meet because of their daughter's being friends at school. These two have and instance attraction, but take things slow because of their daughters. The characters are real and lovable. This one has a surprise ending. It is much better then next story.

The Billionaire's Catch 22
This story is about a 40 year old billionaire meeting a woman ready to go to medical school and they both fall in love. I really don't like these kind of stories, because to me it seems like he would be dating his daughter, UGH! So, to me the billionaire is a perv, but decides to give her up because he doesn't want to ruin her life. This means he has a conscience. The girl of course wants to hang on to her 40 year old billionaire. Who can blame her? Security, right!

The Cure for His Stubborn Soul by Carol Colyer

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
This story took me a long time to get through. These two were at each other's throat from the moment she stepped off the train. It seemed to me that took an especially long time to see the spark between themselves. She recognize the spark, but was not going to let Jon bully her. Jon had no idea how to behave around a woman. The last thing you should do is demand. I think if he had more helpful and seen to some type of security for her, than trying to bully her; he would have gotten a whole lot farther, a whole sooner. The characters in this story have two modes: polite & yelling. It seems to me that Annie thought moving away from Philadelphia was a way for her to escape her routine life & dragging her sister away from some barman who save her sister.

Love Starts Here (A Morgan's Grove Novel #1) by Traci Borum

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
All the character in this story are wonderful. They are quirky, imaginative and each has their own distinct personality. Rick is our typical brooding male. Jill is lovable and sees the world through heart endearing eyes. It is what makes her an excellent writer, whether it's journalism or a book. Lucille is a warm, and lonely old woman whose generosity is the size of Texas. This story takes a slow start, but gradually works its way into your heart and keeps you wondering how these two are going to get together.

A Love Beyond Lies by Lilah Rivers

This story has a few flaws about British behavior. This is a young naive girl who has been terrorized by a powerful man. Her parents seek her a wealthy husband and are blind to his charm and dreams for their daughter. Amos is almost too good to be true. He's the dream man of every Christian woman. Even when Amos is raked with guilt, he tries to make his lies the truth. In my opinion, it's better to ask for forgiveness, then try and make it right. Doing things behind people's back has a way of backfiring, read story. The Duke, the villain of this piece, is way too arrogant and just a little stupid. If Amos really wanted to play his cards right, he should have brought the sheriff with him after he was hit. All in all it had its exciting moments, but both characters didn't have that spark.

Bear's Fake Bride (Bears Of The Wild #3) by Lola Gabriel

This story is alot of fun and I don't know who those two were fooling? The pack or themselves? All I know is that you never get away with lying, especially if you already have made your father upset and he is bound to come looking for you. These two are crazy together, but realize reality has come back to bite them, and while they are at it, they just might start a war. The banter between these two is funny, yet I wonder if they unconsciously knew what was going on between them.

Tamed by a Passionate Lady by Henrietta Harding

James Townshend is one of the most selfish and blind man I have read about. I have no comprehension of why James even married her, when he was so into his broken heart to see how he was hurting everyone around him. He let his so called friend Rueben hound his wife. He refused his wife, even though he was desirous of her. All because he kept seeing two blue eyes that betrayed him. She didn't die, or was forced to marry a Duke. She decided a Duke as a husband would be better than a wealthy tradesman. He couldn't see the forest for the trees all carried his lost love. Waaaaaaaa! The worst part was the man decided it didn't matter who he was married to, but chose Adaline because of some betrothal contract made up by two mothers that were friends and thought how grand it would be if their children got married. The worst part was he denied his wife children which at least she would have someone to love & love her back. SELFISH. The good part of this story is that it takes bashing his head in for him to finally see Adaline. Other than my retort on the so called hero of this story, the plot, storyline and Adaline were excellent.

The Billionaire's Birthday Wish (Billionaire's Birthday Club #1) by Jenna Brandt

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is cute and works well by itself, but is the "The Birthday Club" going to keep hiring concierges only to keep losing them to a Billionaire who is worth losing the job for. This seems to be the theme implied for this series. Both characters are lovable and are easy to like, even Wade with his distrust of women is easy to like. Tara is a go-getter and the Birthday Club is going to have her for long.

Love on the Line (Texas Tornadoes #2) by Lorana Hoopes

The dark secrets we hide shape the kind of life that we lead. This is the story of how love & light opens the heart and shows us a new way to live. It's not easy, but as Kenzi and Blaine will learn that an open heart and open communication can lead to dreams never hoped for. I loved this story and the way these two understood the darkness that we hide.

Where It All Began Heartbeats, Book 1 By: Lorana Hoopes Narrated by: Corry Reynolds

This is the story of of Sandra Baker. It is about a woman who was almost destroyed by her life choices. Who found a new path to walk, but didn't think God would accept someone like her. A woman who took the worst thing in her life, and changed it to a positive way to save souls and babies. I cried mostly through this book because it is a story close to my heart. What Sandra learned is where God guides he provides.

Rescued by Qaiyaan (A Futuristic Alien Fantasy Romance) Galactic Pirate Brides, Book 1 By: Tamsin Ley Narrated by: Tamsin Ley

This story is kind of silly but fun. The author does a good job of describing her alien, but makes it seems hopeless for these men. The heroine of our story is just a grifter who got caught up with the wrong people. When Syndecorp tried to kill her, she escaped because of our hero Qaiyaan. This plays out like any soap opera, and I assume the next books will be the same. I enjoyed listening to the story, and it gave some good entertainment.
