This story is well written, and the characters are well developed, all except our villainess who is over the top. She gives a performance that would have put her in Bedlam in that day and age, but she gets off lightly as far as I am concerned. The Duke falling in love with a wild woman who breaks all the lady rules is probably not realistic, but this Duke has issues most aristocrats do not have to deal with. Rachel defies all the rules of his father and listens with an open heart. With Rachel, family is first. Like most women, her true beauty can only be seen by those who see her heart.
The Holiday season is almost here. I read mostly Advanced Reader Copies and all reviews are my own opinion. Feel free to contact me if you have a questions or want me to read one of your books. Please post to my blog and/or subscribe. I love hearing from you! Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus come! May God bless and keep you this year!
