The story of Rance is a beautiful story of healing and restoration. Some of the writing didn’t flow very well and sometimes left me wondering how much time had passed. The Louisiana slang also didn’t help but made the characters more in tuned to the area and era that they lived in. The shorten verses at the beginning of the chapter should have been the whole verse, I like God’s Word in its entirety. The characters have great depth and each has his own personality. The build up to the climax was disappointing but the ending left me filled with a great sense of peace. The main point in this story is God’s way is not ours.
