This is a fun and witty story about the truth. Our widow takes on writing about society in "The London Gazette" to supplement her widow's income. Someone discovers her secret and starts blackmailing her to print untruths about the Earl. As she has a tendre for the Earl, she becomes distraught when her friend, Lady Adlay is injured. This story made me smile, and think such antics only happen when someone cannot get what they desire. The story has a fun plot and is a well written story.
