Dixon (Stratham Shifters Book 6) by Sarah J. Stone

This is the first book I've read in the series, and the story was enjoyable. Dixon is a down and out shifter who can't shift and Melody is a healing elf. Melody escapes her uncle and lands in the human world on top of her mate. Melody is the balm to Dixon's soul, and his lion is ready to come out and protect Melody. You'll like seeing these two grow and the power that comes from two being one.
