This story is part of a series of the Hartfield sisters. I've read 3 of the 4 sisters stories. This book seems to lace all the stories together and continues with Natalie's story. I never liked Natalie in the other books, but the author does justice to her character by making her grow up. Realizing there is more to life than fashion and balls, Natalie traverses a marriage of convience to find herself falling in love with her husband. Her husband chastises himself for being so hard on her in the beginning of their marriage. Natalie sees that she cannot continue on the way she has been and make this marriage work. I love this story of change and a truth that no one today seems to realize. Love is not an emotion. It is a choice to act in doing loving things for one another. Our emotions will follow in those simple acts of kindness and thoughtfulness, and the recipients heart will follow if these acts are done out of selflessness.
The Holiday season is almost here. I read mostly Advanced Reader Copies and all reviews are my own opinion. Feel free to contact me if you have a questions or want me to read one of your books. Please post to my blog and/or subscribe. I love hearing from you! Maranatha! Come Lord Jesus come! May God bless and keep you this year!
