It's been so long since I've read a good gothic romance. Emma Waters can talk to spirits. A mother wants to clear her son's name and holds a house party inviting the ghost whisperer to the party. No one believes she can see spirits and talk to them, but the Duke finds her wandering around in her nightgown. His curiosity and desire for Emma is stirred. What is revealed is that the murder of his sister that happened twenty years ago is the same murderer who murdered the Duke's wife. The climax is quite dramatic, but reveals a twist that is totally unexpected and a secret that makes everyone think differently.
