I think that this is the a really idiotic plot. The story is well written, but the love these two develop for each other is kind of weird. Social Butterflies do not fall in love with Bookworms. Ella is dumb for a bookworm. She could have lured Fredrick away into the library for hours; instead of whining to Peter. Peter could have whirled her away on the dance floor and escorted her around the room away from her fiance. So the idiocy of their plan was bound to fail when they didn't take steps to keep the other apart from each other.
