Lawfully Justified: Inspirational Christian Historical (A Bounty Hunter Lawkeeper Romance) by Lorana Hoopes (
This is a quaint little story with a lot of heart. William has fallen in love with his nurse, Emma. After getting to know her, he finds out her husband died on one of his hunts. Can they make this relationship work? And can Emma forgive him? They say love conquers all. This story keeps that proverb alive.

Wet Kisses: A Zodiac Shifters Paranormal Romance: Pisces (The Sectorium Book 5) by Susan Griscom
This is sort of a fun paranormal contemporary romance. This is the first one that I have read in this series and I hope the rest of the books are as delightful. The intensity of this relationship is electric and Adrian and Reese are a good fit. Reese needs to work on her powers more. If I had telekinesis, I would have it mastered before going out into the world alone. So Victor or no Victor would be smashed up on a rock and his brain putty for even touching me without my permission. My question though is Victor a paranormal because he took a lot of feet and knees to the groin and it kept on coming?

Only the Fallen (UnHallowed Series #1) by Tmonique Stephens
Normally, I don't like fictional books about Heaven and Hell. This author takes up an issue of the Fallen Angel. In this series, there are angels that fell that the Father calls the Unhallowed. He has given them a way to redeem themselves. Here we find that Michael offers a way for Gideon to redeem himself. It will forever change him and the angel he fell in love with, but the chance at redemption is worth the cost.
HARD LIMIT: He's got the baddest superpower of all... (HARD Series Book 4) by Chloe Fischer
This is the first book I've read in the series. This book can be read without the others. In fact, with so much background in this story, it could have been the first book. Adam is inherently good and it leads to his division with his twin, Xander. This is a very good story and if I have the opportunity to pick up the others, I will. The heroine of this story, Sage is a child psychologist and gets involved because the school feels that Adam's daughter, Audrey, needs help. I get the feeling that for these men with super powers, there is a woman who is psychically connected to them. It's a good read and sexually tense.

Love Me Only by Hebby Roman
This is an amazing adventure into history and deep Mexico. A crazy time in Mexico during Maximilian's reign. This story takes place during the unrest when Juarez takes back Mexico from Maximilian and runs the French out of Mexico. This story is actually based on two love stories, Sarah and Gilberto and Diana and Seguin. Each have their own issues and deal with them as each occasion rise. Diana is a woman who knows her mind and her heart. She is intelligent and cool under fire. She must fight to keep Seguin, but is willing to give him up if cannot offer her love. Sarah is flighty and impulsive, and her relationship with Gilberto is rushed and against her parents and Gilberto's father wishes. Their love is pure and deep, at least Gilberto's is to defy his father and take a ship all the way back from Europe to San Fransisco to get back to Sarah. The adventure begins as soon as you start reading from Veracruz to Mexico City across the Sierra Madras to Acapulco. Love must conquer parents, a cutthroat, rival mining companies, a war and a man with a closed heart.

The Clockwork War (A Clockwork War #1) by Katy Haye
This story is incredible and it has been a long time since I've read a steampunk novel and really enjoyed it. You'll enjoy Clara, the genius tinker and her strange friend, Gordy Murgatroyd. They uncover a sinister plot and try and save the King of England. I love ins and out of this story, just like the moving of a carefully crafted clock. I am looking forward to the continuation of this story in book two.
Of Risk & Redemption (Revelry's Tempest #3) by K.J. Jackson
This is an amazing and epic story. It is not a light read and you will be enchanted with Lady Cassandra Desmond and Lord Rorrick Trowlson Vestibule. Cass has to redeem herself and Rorrick needs the land that Cass won from his brother. Together, they go on an amazing adventure for Cass's redemption. These two are wonderful together, but Cass is low on trust. This is cause for alot of pain and hurt, but also taking the greatest risk of all.
I've also listened to this on Audible and the reader is engaging and takes you back to America at it's wildest.

Let There Be Life (Sled Dog #3) by Melissa Storm
This one hit me by surprise, and I guess it hit our heroine Liz also. To find out you are someone else. To have to come to grips that the man you love most in life, is living a lie and refuses to tell you anything about the strange things that are happening. Our hero, Dorian, I never did warm up to him, but he did right by Liz in the end. The story is well written, and the plot is heart wrenching. And it's been a long time, since I've seen a story have a moral at the end.

Doppelgänger by Alyssa Drake
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is well written and the plot is a little bit insane. The climax is a little breathtaking and the story concludes well. Lily is very relate able, and I like Jareth right off. I do not like multiple partners and I ended up skipping over that scene. I didn't like Blake or Dominic, so I don't see how Lily could either. If Lily felt compassion for these two men. I would have Blake sent back for re-education in a field other than prostitution, and keep Dominic on as the stable master and riding instructor.

The Bride's Heart: Mail Order Bride Romance (Brides and Promises) by Ruby Hill
This is an interesting tale, of a woman who was almost compromised. So instead of living in her town and being stared at and whispered about, she becomes a mail order bride. Her groom is a man who had his heart ripped out by his previous wife and doesn't want a marriage that includes love. Hazel and Stephen are opposites and Stephen finds he can't control Hazel, but finds with gentleness and asking, she will obey him. Unfortunately, Stephen is an idiot because he finds himself falling in love with Hazel and asks the preacher to absolve the marriage. Hazel is not going to take in lying down. Hazel is loveable, Stephen is not. I like the story, but Stephen's personality really needs some work.
A Wanderer's Secrets: A Billionaire Romance (Summer Flames Series Book 2) by Maggie Kane
This is supposed to be the last book in the series, but Emma's problems are not completely solved. I think the ending could have been better written, but it held my interest throughout the story. Nikos and Emma have wonderful chemistry, but Nikos is keeping his past also from Emma. This is also not resolved in this story, but maybe there will be a book three. Otherwise Emma and Nikos story is going to go unresolved.
Dreaming of You (Magnolia Valley, #1) by Cora Reed
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. It is well written and explores a part of us that we don't always acknowledge. Jesse and Calvin are dynamic together. Nate didn't give off the stalker vibe, but more of an entitlement. I loved how Calvin accepted that Jesse was giver and didn't get angry over situations that interfered with his plans. We all should add a little adventure into our lives.

Lines of Promise Kindle Edition by Kristen M. Fraser
This is a short novella and it is well written. The beginning ends in heartbreak, but those letters she is writing to a soldier. They may be the new beginning to Meredith's life.
Barbaric Alien (A Sci Fi Alien Abduction Romance) (Vithohn Warriors) by Stella Sky
I'm not sure what number this is in the Vithohn series, but these stories seem to be taking a life of their own. They get a little better and give you an idea of how long the Vithohn have been on this planet. We actually have a Kilari attack on Vithohn in this book. We find out that the Vithohn live a long time and have made a settlement of Vithohn and human marriages. Reina and Oron are a weird combination, and the story takes on strange aspects. Reina is likeable, but she acts very much like a teenager and Oron, stupidity comes to mind with him. He is so confused that he can't decide to keep Reina or give him to his ruler. Otherwise the story is well written, and entertaining.

Ain't Misbehavin' (Roaring Twenties #2) by Jennifer Lamont Leo
This is a serious subject lighten with humor. I fell in love with Dot and Charlie took me a little longer. Until you understand Charlie's values and his position, he comes off as a jerk at the New Year's Eve party. Once Dot comes to a realization of who she is and who she wants to be. Dot changes her life and works toward having a relationship with Charlie. Dot challenged my anger and her stupidity of what is right and her thought process is kind of twisted. Even through all of this Charlie loves her unconditionally, and this Dot has an even harder time understanding.
The Chieftain's Duty by Audrey Adair
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I had to laugh at Finlay. He thought if he just treated her well, she would fall in love with him. It is only when Finlay started giving of himself that love finally started to bloom in Kyla's heart. The play between the two characters was good, but I don't think the attraction that was suggested is really played out.

Loving a Fearless Duchess: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Abigail Agar
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
This story started out well, and the plot and life of the book grew on its own. There are times in the book when I think it should just end, because it starts to run on, but then it begins to pick up again and continue almost in a new vain of thought. Penelope and Nash's story is long and drawn out at points, but it regains your interest as you learn more about the past. Henry is a psychopath in this book, but I think sociopath is more correct, because he thinks he's great in his own mind and has no conscience. I read the extend epilogue and felt that could have been put in another book and made into another love story. I actually like being left with the last line in the book. I fell in love with Nash, but Penelope left me cold. It seemed to me that she lacked the passion she should have for Nash.

Lawfully Held: Inspirational Christian Contemporary (A K-9 Lawkeeper Romance) by Elle E. Kay
This is a fun contemporary novel, I would put it along side a Harlequin Romance Suspense Novel. I enjoyed the interaction between the two characters, but I have a hard time with the initial traffic stop. It was way over the top and really unnecessary to the story. The dogs added some charm to the story and made for a side about what happens to law enforcement dogs. I think the cover needs to be redone. The guy on the cover has something wrong with his pencil thin neck and weird shaped head.
The Road to You by Piper Lennox
This is a story of a woman who finds out she is adopted and looks into looking up her biological mother and a man who is on the recovery from heroin. There is a strange connection when these two meet and an easy camaraderie between the two. The pain and hardship that they put each other through brings them back around again to each other through her biological mother. You'll laugh, cry and want to scream at the characters at points through this book, but in the end faith, hope and charity win out.
Her Brave Wolf (Marked by the Moon #1) by Kamryn Hart
This is the starter book for this series. The shifter community has totally separated itself from the human community and blame the humans for the end of the wolf. The alpha is saved by a park ranger and bites her in his wolf form. This begins a deep connection that neither understands. The interaction between these two is deep and sensual. Unfortuantely, the story takes a weird turn in a Beta trying to take over the pack, and left me a little cold. I think Nikolas is a stupid alpha, because he can't see the forest for the trees. I saw the betrayal of the beta from the alpha fight earlier in the book. Hopefully Gwendolyn is a lot smarter, because this pack is not going to survive with Nikolas in charge.

Tame a Wild Heart (Tame, #1) by Cynthia Woolf
This is a well written story with a great plot. I laughed at the stupidity of these two at times. When they finally see through the heartache and bitterness, they finally know who each other is and the love they have for each other. This story is worth reading!
Brutal Alien (A Sci Fi Alien Abduction Romance) (Vithohn Warriors) by Stella Sky
This book is the second in the Vithohn Warrior Series. Earth is a dystopian society with packets of humans living hidden from the Vithohn aliens who devastated Earth. Apparently what saves the earth is that our female DNA combines with the Vithohn and takes their aggression away and makes them reasonable. This book is about the Vithohn and humans making an alliance because the Vithohn enemies the Kalari are coming. I like the concept, but from what I see is that earth will become little halflings of Vithohn males and human females.
Friendzoned Soprano (Singers in Love Book 2) by Irene Vartanoff
This book is much better than its predecessor. Abbie Fisher is a woman who you can identify with. Her issues are like many women, fighting the image of today's world. When Abbie finally takes control of her life, she finds what she wants and doesn't want. Trying to make men love her is not it. She wants to be loved for who she is, not because fat girls are easy. She finds self respect and she forces Sean to acknowledge what he wants from Abbie and not to play around. This book is strangely places because most of the action takes place before book one.

Stay by Emma Nichols
This story is well written and the plot well developed. The writing does tend to get long and boring at points. I actually had to get up and walk away because I lost interest. I get Cadence and her reluctance in this relationship. Cadence is stupid, living in LA and among the self serving actors should have made her protect herself better, by telling Hayden to find a restroom and not invite him into her apartment to use hers. This is plain stupidity in this day and age. Otherwise, this story is okay.

Rai (Weredragons Of Tuviso) (A Sci Fi Alien Weredragon Romance) by Maia Starr
This was an interesting end to this series. The story development for this series was good, but it either needed to continue because we went from the beginning of the war with the weredragons to the end in one chapter. This is probably one of bettter Maia Starr book series.
Dekkir (Galaxy Alien Warriors #1) by Lara Larue
This story started out pretty funny, but ended up being pretty serious. The story is well written with several serious flaws. They become extremely obvious as the story progresses. The spy on the earth ship got on and off it too easy and all the pschic abilities happening to our heroine is over the top.
Broken Perfection by Heather Henle
This is an amazing story. What we think of perfection is our dreams interlaced with our own demons. I was amazed how the author dealt with Brianna's pain and injuries. How Kevin dealt with her car accident should have been a clue to what kind of man Kevin actually is. The problem is that sometimes as women we have no self respect and want that security back again. The author deals with all of these issues and a heartfelt and well written story is the product.

A Capital Mistake by Kennedy Cross
Rating: ⭐⭐
The story line was a good try, but there are a lot of mistakes in the development of Sophia's character. You can't just throw off a cop persona and let what Noah had done go. The fact that he committed bank robberies should have made Sophia due a double take, it didn't. The Sheriff was full of mistakes, especially for someone who was running the bank robbery ring. To be honest, the whole thing was a capital mistake.

Defiant Diva (Book 3 Singers in Love) by Irene Vartanoff
This woman deserves nothing. She is self center and destructive. She blames a demon for emotional outbursts when she has diabetes. Don't get me started on how the doctors got around her to get her to take her pills. She is does not deserve a rich man like Dex, and how Dex could fall in love with her is beyond belief with her behavior. Maybe in the end she changes a little, but if the woman had any common sense, it wouldn't have gotten to that point. One star for a really bad heroine whom all I wanted to do was smack her in the face and tell her to get over herself.

Torn: An Alpha Billionaire Romance by Tristan Vaughan, Ellie Danes
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ This story dealt with a break up and meeting someone new. Someone, who is new and exciting. Someone, who puts a name to chivalrous. Then, you're ex comes back groveling for you to forgive him. Do you go with the new or what's comfortable? This story challenges us to look for what we really need in a relationship. It was well written, but some things that are written in, I do not see how they help the plot of the story. As far as I can see, Gregory is an unnecessary antagonist to the plot and story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A Marquess and a Secret (Gentlemen and Brides #2) by Joyce Alec
This novella is a quaint story. It is enjoyable for the short read. It is told from the rare gentlemen's point of view. You don't really get a good feel for Miss Mary Richards, but she is very unconventional in her dealings with men. She would have been seen as fast in this day and age. Still, it was a fun story and a delightful romp.

The Forbidden Valentine: Lady Eleanor Hawthorne: Regency Romance Novel (Heart of a Gentleman Book 5) by Isabella Thorne
I really like the story and the plot. The thing was it took so long to get to the main issue that at points the story begins to drone in the same old thing over and over. The conflict and climax are exciting, but the author took a drastic measure to bring the two families back together. The hero and heroine interaction, when they interacted was passionate and endearing. The story in the beginning should have moved just a little bit faster.
