Secrets of a Highland Bride: A Steamy Scottish Historical Romance Novel by Eloise Madigan

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This story deals with some very criminal elements, and a woman  traumatized by her father and brothers that she has lost her voice. Laird Greyson Foster has migraines from a head injury he received during a battle and wants a quiet wife. Unfortunately, his kindness gives her voice back. Her father realizes he didn't get enough for Rhea and decides to try and get her back. The story has it moments, but our hero sometimes borders on stupidity, until his sister and Rhea knock some sense into him. Really! he has a severe headaches and says he tried everything, but Rhea makes him a tonic that actually helps. Something that lessens the pain is better than nothing, but sometimes I think men like to dwell in self pity, and then try to hide it. The story has well thought out plot, and carries itself well to the end with a few hiccups along the way.

A Spinster for the Unbending Duke by Hazel Linwood

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is well written, and the characters are well developed, all except our villainess who is over the top. She gives a performance that would have put her in Bedlam in that day and age, but she gets off lightly as far as I am concerned. The Duke falling in love with a wild woman who breaks all the lady rules is probably not realistic, but this Duke has issues most aristocrats do not have to deal with. Rachel defies all the rules of his father and listens with an open heart. With Rachel, family is first. Like most women, her true beauty can only be seen by those who see her heart.

Focus On Love by Candee Fick

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is an amazing story about love, acceptance and forgiveness. These two are drawn together by their love of photography, and Ryan being the professional photographer pulls Liz into his art by accepting and encouraging her love. He teaches her about God's love and mercy. She taught him to fall in love with the camera again. This is a great love story that needs to be read.

This story is now in audio and the narrator is excellent, and the male voice of Ryan is warm and makes you believe there are really wonderful men out there. The narrator does need work on his female voice, because sometimes he made Liz sound snippy, when her attitude was never like that in the story; even when others like Gloria would try to upset her. Rating is still 5 stars.
