Lady Jane by Vicki Hopkins

This is a sad case of a broken heart; To be so young and in love, to give yourself to a man only for him to leave you for the military. Lady Jane swore no man would ever play her again, so she embarked on leaving every man who shared her bed broken-hearted. So when Matthew Rutland re-entered her life, she decided to play her game with him. This is a story of a second chance at love. It is how the two play around each other denying what they feel and the deeper emotions at play underneath. This story is fun, but addresses the actions of why some people are the way they are.

A Liberating Love to Set Her Free by Carol Colyer

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed this story. The story is well written, but the plot becomes shaky at times, but the author manages to pull out of it. I love Ariel, but I really on the fence at first as Jesse being the hero in this story. Jesse starts to actually grow up and realize that it takes hard work to become successful. It seems like his past is just a bunch of excuses for his failures. He never really put any hard work in to make a business a success. Ariel teaches him how to be a hard worker and see the success the ranch could be, if only he didn't have that debt hanging over his head.

Hot Coffee (Hemingway Industries Novel) by Donna Mercer

This is a romantic comedy. Roman's administrative assistant is hysterical. Roman is bold and knows what he wants. His father wants to retire and cannot let his son continue in his playboy ways, so it sets an ultimatum. Kamiya knows what she wants from life and has a set mission. Together, they are fun and teach other that some things are more important than themselves. This story actually surprised me in how good it was and the character writing is exceptional.

Perfectly Mismatched with the Duke by Patricia Haverton, Cobalt Fairy

Who says the matchmaker can't fall in love? This story and plot is intriguing. It's so intriguing that one party is trying to get rid of the matchmaker, so the Duke will marry the woman selected for him. I enjoyed this story and the intrigue around Alexandra. This story is well written and the plot well thought out.

Surrendering to Her Enigmatic Eyes: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Abigail Agar

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed this story and it's unique plot with it's surprising twist. When Matthew was dismissed from the estate, he should have never looked back. His love for Caroline drove him to find out the truth; especially after the man lied about what happened at the carriage accident. This is a relationship that may have never happened, but it's nice to think that a man down on his luck can fall in love with a wealthy woman without the prospect of his eye on her money.

To Love A Duke: A Regency Romance (Finding Forever Love) by Diana DeHaven

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
This is a Cinderella story. Emma finds a ticket to a ball and decides to borrow a dress from her employer and go to the ball. This story has so many flaws the author did not take into consideration, but this story is every little girl's dream; to fall in love with a man who can take you away from your hum-drum life.

The Courageous Heart Of A Western Bride: A Western Historical Romance Novel by Evelyn Boyett

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story captures the fear that lives in all of us. With everything going on in our lives, how do we move on? It takes real courage to step out and make a better life for ourselves. It's fear that keeps us stuck in one place. This story does get long in some places, but the story and plot are well written.

Make-Believe Proposal: Make-Believe Series, Book 5 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged Vivi Holt (Author), Amanda Stribling (Narrator), Black Lab Press (Publisher)

This story is romantic. Roland is her friend and helps her save face by proposing to his nanny. Even though it's a fake proposal, Roland's feeling are real for his nanny. She has helped his family and he wants to do everything to help her. They find that spark that turns friends into lovers. This story is heartwarming and left me feeling good.

Mysteries of Treasure Cove Series – Unabridged Meredith Potts (Author, Publisher), Carrie Burgess (Narrator)

Each of these stories deals after Sabrina is married and she has a child. It's amazing how she juggles marriage, her child, her cafe and her sleuthing. I enjoyed each story. It's amazing as I listened to these stories, it was like I know Sabrina and how she will react.

Taming the Wicked Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Lucy Langton

This story is clearly about alcoholism. The characters are compelling and Sarah is eager to help the Duke overcome his problem. She is studying Psychology, but because this is new way of helping people it is not recognized as such. She has helped many of the nobility with their problem and she believes she can help the Duke. Only the Duke gives her more grief than any of the others, because although he recognizes his problem; he is not really willing to try. On top of everything else, the Duke keeps trying to seduce her. This is where the story kind of falls apart. If she were a true therapist, as soon as he started the seduction game and she realized she was attracted to him, she would have left. You can't have more than a friendship with your patient. It ruins the therapy when someone gets hurt accidentally.

The Double Identity of a Seductive Lady: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Henrietta Harding

I enjoyed this little fairy tale. It has a little espionage in it, but I don't know how killing the Duke would make the estate manager the new Duke, since he was only an employee and not related to the Duke. Otherwise, the story has all the necessary intrigue, action and wonderful characters to make this romance work.

The Highlander's Fiery Bride by Lydia Kendall, Cobalt Fairy

I loved this story. Angus is a hero every woman desires. The plot of this story seems to go in two directions, but comes together well in the end. Who knew Magdalena's aunt practice the old Celtic ways and was using magnesium to burn people to keep them away from her and the caves? The only thing I didn't like about the story was how long Angus took to get Magdalena back, and how easy Angus fell into the aunt's trap. The second plot is more of something that goes along in the background back in England after Magdalena escapes from her uncle and the marriage he was going to force her into. It shows you just can't go around killing Barons on the Scottish border without the King of England getting involved.

Risking it All for a Lady's Heart: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Aria Norton

Although, this tale is quite romantic; it's plot sounds impossible at times. The possibilities of a lowly maid becoming a duchess under the circumstances as described are impossible. Although the duke blames Frederica for Nash's injury, and even if he loved the service of her parents, he would have done something before they died to get rid of her. It could have been another position or sent to school to be a governess to get her away from his household. After they died, he could have really destroyed her. He was far too generous in allowing her to stay in her parents cottage as long as he did. Like all men, Nash is really stupid about providing for her in France. If he had a job that allowed him to travel back to England, he could have well afforded to come to England and propose to Frederica and take her back to France with him. She could have worked if need be in France and it's not as if she is use to a life of comfort anyway. I didn't mean to tear this plot apart, but I thought of possibilities far more as I read this story than actually enjoying the story itself.
