Mr. Henry Catesby and the Rebellious Redhead (House of Catesby Book 5) by Sunny Brooks

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love each story in this series, and this one is not different. Henry is a recluse in his own right. Laurie Davenport is feisty and refuses to marry the man her father has selected for her. When these two meet, it only a matter of time before sparks fly. Interesting through all this, Henry remains the perfect gentleman.

The Bounty Hunter of Her Heart: A Historical Western Romance Book by Lorelei Brogan

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed this story tremendously. I loved watching Jarodd Briggs grow as he fell in love with Sarah; watching Sarah grow more important to him than the almighty dollar. This is a story worth reading. The complications and twists in the story make it worth reading.

The Billionaire Werewolf (Werewolves of St. Neuri Book 3) by Abigail Raines

This story is okay; the writing is okay. The story is weird, but the St. Neuri books all have been weird. The characters are funny and over the top. The story is okay for a way to pass some time.

Hart's Desire- A Lowcountry Seduction (Pirates & Petticoats #1) by Chloe Flowers

Although the writing is good, this story leaves you wanting. but not so wanting that I'm willing to purchase the next two books. The story is okay, but it does not leave you wanting more.

A Polar Bear Christmas by Emilia Hartley

This story is light-hearted and the characters are kind of funny. Of course, after I learned what kind of man Claus is I would be running far away from him, not because he is a polar bear. I think it would be great to cuddle into a polar bear on a cold night. It's the gang thing and the fact he is the gang leaders enforcer. Although I understand the bullying her family as done to Holly, in a way, it has made her stronger than her family. If my family was like Holly's, I would have hooked up with something way bigger and badder than my family. Really on the family shakedown, did they really think they could take down a polar bear? This story made me laugh even though the story had a lot of holes.

His Highland Bride (His Highland Heart #3) by Willa Blair

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is the 3rd book of the story and about the oldest daughter of the Rose Laird, Mary. Cameron Sutherland from the last book has been brought to Rose to heal from injuries from some Glassglow soldiers. Mary and the healer are taking care of him. Cameron and Mary grow close and love starts to grow between them. The old laird takes a new wife and the mayhem begins, betrayal, assassination attempts, and scheming clans trying to gain control of the Rose clan; including an old lover trying to get in on the action before the Rose laird breathes his last. This is a well-written story as well as the rest of the series with lots of heart stopping and breath stealing action.

Diamonds of the Marquess: Regency Romance (Season of Brides) by Joyce Alec

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
There is a mystery as to who is after the diamonds, and the reveal is a little startling. This story is well written and the reveal well done. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The main characters are delightful and very mature for their twenty some years.

Cherished Cutter's Creek Series, Book 9 By: Vivi Holt Narrated by: Paul Curtis Audiobook

I love the characters in this series and Camalia is no different. I think the sheriff had this dream of Camalia in his head. My thought on this is that how could Camalia fall for a man who is never around and only had a few encounters with. Her other beau she traveled across country with and now he is courting her. I understand her reluctance to marry Winston with his temper. Camalia had enough of that with her own father. The voices are excellent on the audiobook and as many times as Camalia gets into to trouble keeps the plot interesting.

Pearl: Cowboys and Debutantes: Historical, Book 6 Audible Audiobook – Unabridged Vivi Holt (Author), Meghan Kelly (Narrator)

This story is as old as time. Girl is in an arranged marriage and falls in love with his brother. In this story Hilton is clueless and falls in love with another girl. Voice work is just okay, and the women sound like high pitched men.

Let It Snow Beachcomber Investigations Series Novella By: Stephanie Queen Narrated by: Mishka Thebaud Audio Version

Dreaming of Hanukah by Joanne Dannon

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book consists of two short stories, A Magical Hanukah in New York and Another Magical Hanukah in New York. The first one is about finding a new love. The second is about a second chance. Both stories are delightful and inspriational. Some of the writing is stiff in the second story, but works itself out towards the climax of the story.

Finding Joy (Love's Compass #5) by Melanie D. Snitker

This story is about finding joy after surviving a horrific accident. I found inspiration and determination is one small woman. What Parker puts her through to get her to quit was quite entertaining. This romantic story allows us insight in how love finds us when we try to push it away.

Studmuffin Santa (Ponderosa Resort Romantic Comedies .05) by Tawna Fenske

Funny and lighthearted, it also addresses the ramifications of bullying on the emotional character of a person. I also learned a lot about reindeer, I never knew. This couple will make you laugh , while trying to figure out the strange things that are happening on the reindeer ranch.

Etta’s Secret (Copper Peaks Brides) by Ruby Hill

This story is intriguing and consists of various twists and turns. What is unbelievable is that Rueben would allow Etta to come along along on a manhunt. This definitely would not have happened in this era of history. This story starts out intriguing with a slightly boring center while the plot builds, but the climax is quite exciting.

Diamonds & Dirt: A Small-Town Cozy Mystery Romance (A Second Chance for Fox Hill) by Rory Allison

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is about coming home and finding your roots and what is important. The couple has great tension and with good reason. Their is a mystery to solve and a Music Hall to save. It's a great read.

The "She" Stands Alone by Nadine C. Keels

Dating Yourself is not effective, if you are ignoring life around you. The funny thing is that it is her own attitude that is driving every man away from her. "She Stands Alone."

Mourning Express (The Funeral Fakers #3) by K.M. Waller

Rosie is a laugh a minute. Her life couldn't be more of a mess and becoming a professional mourner is her way to fast cash. The problem with Rosie is she doesn't know when to keep her mouth shut or stay out of someone else's problem.

Carson's Christmas Bride: Mail Order Bride (Lawmen's Brides Book 3) by Natalie Dean, Eveline Hart

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It seems to me that the character of Sarah out shown the hero of this story, Carson. I sometimes felt that Sarah's personality is much stronger than Carson's. This story offers several major issues of the day, and several that we still deal with today. This story is well-written, but Sarah is missing something in her personality to really make the pairing of Sarah and Carson complete.

An Unexpected Forever by Joanne Dannon

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The chemistry and friendship these two picked up right away was fantastic. Their differences also made these two work, especially since Daniel is so thoughtful. It seems to me that Daniel did all the work to make this relationship work, while Marnie demanded that Daniel give up everything. This story is well-written, although I thought the relationship was a little one-sided.

A Musket in My Hands (Civil War Romance #3) by Sandra Merville Hart

This story is based on the fact that women in the Civil War signed up as men and fought alongside their men. Callie uses the Civil War as a way to escape her drunken father and his schemes. This is well written and the battle scene is actually frightening in detail, and does not cover up the gruesomeness of war.

The Countess and the Rake: A Super Hot Historical Romance by Georgette Brown

⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is hot and steamy, but has more substance than another series I have been reading by this author. This story is about adultery, and the consequences for a married woman. The good thing here is that it does help if you have connections in high places. My question in all of this is why wasn't Phineas more careful? What kind of future do these two actually have together?

Of Valor & Vice: A Revelry's Tempest Novel By: K.J. Jackson

This story is compelling and sensual. The fire between Adalia and Dellon is at times heart stopping. I think Adalia is quite stupid for not recognizing he loved her. He did not know what love is having been raised in a sterile environment. Even if he never said the words, his actions spoke louder than any words. He would kill for her, seek only her happiness, and provide every comfort and pleasure he could give her. Words are nothing, action is everything.

Surrendering to the Baron (A Steamy Regency Romance #7) by Georgette Brown

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
All I can say is this story has had more substance than the rest in the series. It is hot and spicy. This is not a romance.

The Heiress and the Duke by Kira Stewart

Can I be honest? This story is a bit boring. If she never overheard the Duke at the Masquerade Ball, she would never know he was after her money. The doctor maintained a friendship with her the entire time, and even when she sent him away, he stayed in Bath out of sight. The problem is Emma is the daughter of an Earl and the Earl would never consent to the doctor marrying his daughter. Doctors are considered slightly above servant class, although their are a few 3rd sons who take up the profession.

Her Indecisive Heart by Lorelei Brogan

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Really? Her decision is between a sheriff and an outlaw? I don't care how charming, good looking and gentlemanly he seems, Outlaws are only out for themselves and living on the run is no way for a gently bred woman to live. Her sheriff is the one she contracted for and he is a good man.

Cowboy Bear Blues (Cowboy Brother Bears #1) by Harmony Raines

This story is not really about a feud, but about an angry father who couldn't keep his word to his father. The author keeps true to her idea of shifters in this story. Lynn and Adam work out a solution to make his father happy, but still leaving a rift between Lynn and her parents. I liked the beginning of this series and want to see where the author goes with it.

To Tame a Bear (Lumberjack Bears Book 4) by Emilia Hartley

This is Dominic's and Amee's story. I felt this story really diminished Dominic. It didn't really add anything to the serie's except enforce that bear's can go mad. Orion has more sense than the rest of group. And that Dominic is the most pitiable bear, because he refuses to acknowledge his mate and live in self pity, because he was tortured for a couple hours by the Den. The only thing good about Dominic in this story is his bear.

The Deceptive Earl: Lady Charity Abernathy: A Regency Romance Novel by Isabella Thorne

This problem addresses the things in Regency that we didn't have a real name for; PTSD and Alzheimer's. It's amazing how much love these two had for their own families. Things could have gone badly if Neville hadn't helped Charity out, but his own understanding came into play because of his own brother. This is a story worth reading, and an understanding that love can come from a friendship and secrets shared.

A Love Kept Apart by Lies: A Historical Western Romance Book by Carol Colyer

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
This story is definitely not about a grand romance. The attraction between these two is palpable, but their is a stiffness that is portrayed between the couple or maybe it is the writing. It remains even after the couple comes to an understanding. Warning: This is a suffragist novel and views are very distorted to what was actually happening in the west with women in 1874. The Married Women's Property act was passed in 1870 and would have allowed Rose to cash her check at any bank.

Hell Hath No Fury (Devilish Debutantes #1) by Annabelle Anders

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
All I can say about this story is I loved it, and Flavion got exactly what he deserved. Vengeance is sweet when it delivered without you having to be responsible.

Her Deadly Reunion (Jill Shepherd Suspense Book 2) by Beth Ziarnik

This story is the reason we should leave things to the police. Jill risked everything to save her father. This story is suspenseful, but the killer is obvious, even though Jill is oblivious to the goings on in this house. The only reasonable character is her boyfriend, Clay. And he proves how sensible he is at the end of this story. There is a lot of conflicting things with no reasonable explanation at the end of the story.

Marrying Nashville Clean Contemporary Box Set by Emma Evans

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
I've reviewed the first one in the series, and the rest of the stories are of the rest of the Charles brothers.

Marrying the Country Star - This story says something that I always suspected about shows like the Bachelor. The shows are scripted until the unexpected happens. What happens between Cassandra and Jonathan, doesn't happen in real life and if it does it's because the girl is just plain naive. The story is harsh at parts, but then Cassandra finally gets a dose of reality. I find Jonathan a fake character from the start, and never liked him. It's hard to like someone that arrogant and so willing to do something so wrong as to fix the show as to who the winner is.

Marrying the Billionaire - This story is about Lance. Another narcissistic brother, who flirts with his girlfriend's personal assistant, then wonders why his girlfriend fired her. This is a typical office romance and Lance is a jerk for engaging Helen's heart.

Marrying the Athlete - Gareth is the typical female using jock. Unfortunately, his best friend's sister has had a crush on him forever. This one was kind of fun, because Gareth actually wants her. His friend has a no touching policy for his sister.

Marrying the Cowboy - Morgan is the fourth brother, the lone cowboy. The one brother who doesn't want all the riches, only something to fulfill his life. This is the best story at of all four books.

His Candy Cane: A Two-Book Collection by Summer Brooks

Rating:  ⭐⭐
I'm not sure what these stories had to do with candy canes, but these two brothers are narcissistic and so self-absorbed, that no wonder it took them into their late thirties before they fell in love. Personally, they don't deserve the women they fell in love with. Trashy men get decent women, but the good thing is these guys have money. I just wanted to smack these women in the head and say, "These men are poison!". These stories are okay if you like that type of man. Personally, they can rot for all I care.

Best Friend Hot Roommate Kindle Edition by Summer Brooks

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is just beyond the ridiculous, but let's face it; best friends make the best marriages. Why? You already know how to communicate with each other. The problem is getting from friends to lovers to mates. This story addresses some of these problems, but exaggerates the problems tremendously, especially with an overreacting female involved! Story is good for a laugh and a smile.

Lawfully Blessed: Inspirational Christian Contemporary (A Christmas Lawkeeper Romance) by Evangeline Kelly

This is a happy reunion story about a police officer and the woman he let get away. She back in town and he is not making the same mistake twice. Melody is a little bit of a downer, but recently widowed from a bad marriage; the one good thing she has going is her son. Grant is self assured and maybe just a little too arrogant, but seeing Melody again gives him hope. The story is heartwarming and good by the fireplace with a cup of cocoa.

Fake Marriage to a Rock Star by Marian Wilson, Ruby Hill

This is cute romance between someone who doesn't know how to keep himself out of trouble, and a woman who has loved him as long as she has known him. The agreement to the engagement was exhorted from her because she is one to help those she loves. This is the endearing part of this story, but all I could do was shake my head at Brendan for his stupidity in this book. A musican star is fodder for the paparazzi. Ava is engaging and her brother and sister-in-law are just meddlers.

Benevolent Passion (Heaven's Heart Series #2) by Amanda Pillar

I don't usually read angels books, because of my views on angels and demons. This story is actually about love and purity of heart. It also suggests that there is procreation among angels and demons. The consequences of such actions are also explained. God even has prophecies for such actions. This story is actually quite humorous and I liked Peony and Dru, because of their uniqueness.

A Family For Christmas by Marian Wilson

This is a heartwarming Christmas story, and Grace and Lysander are wonderful together. All right, who names their kid Lysander?
The meaning of Lysander is "liberator" (also "one who is freed"). A compound name comprising of the elements "lysis" (freedom) and "andros" (man). In Greek history, Lysander was a Spartan naval and military commander in 400 BC. Also the name of a character in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Now that is out of the way. I loved the story.

His Highland Heart (His Highland Heart #1) by Willa Blair

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
You will love this story and its characters. The story will hold you until the climax. The fact that she is the laird's daughter should have Euan run for the hills, but that's not even in this thoughts when he returns her to her father. It's a little bit of a let down, but a man in love will overlook almost anything. That's just one small thing in this story, and the action and excitement is in the intrigue of the clan Ross.

Shift of Destiny (Ice Age Shifters #2) by Carol Van Natta

This book is unintentionally funny. The descriptions of the folk of Kotoyeesinay are hysterical and the folk are officially crazy. A woman walking around with knowing magic, but doesn't know she has it. She ends up in Kotoyeesinay after being stalked by some psycho CEO. She meets Chance McKennie and sparks fly. I enjoyed reading this story even with the intense climax; every page had something to smile about.

On His Bended Knee: a Sweet Marriage of Convenience series (The Brides of Purple Heart Ranch Book 1) by Shanae Johnson

This is a very sweet story, about a woman with no job and evicted from her apartment for too many dogs. It's about a man who served our country and lost his leg. It's also about a bunch of veterans trying to make a ranch their home. One marriage of convenience to save the ranch, and two people find they have a lot in common. Love heals Maggie and Dylan's soul. Dylan finds with Maggie he can overcome his spiritual injuries.

Ignored & Treasured - The Duke's Bookish Bride (Love's Second Chance 0) by Bree Wolf

This story is enchanting and a simple mistake almost cost the Duke the woman who enchanted him. Thanks to Helen's sister, everything seems to work out. This is a fun story and good for an afternoon read.

HIS HIGHLAND LOVE (His Highland Heart #2) by Willa Blair

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In this story, love will not be denied. After two years separation, Catherine finds Kenneth Brodie a prisoner of the Catholic Church. There is a lot of tension, anger, and passion expressed in this book. Catherine is head strong and a true redhead. Kenneth Brodie tried to keep away from Catherine after being denied by her father, but passion, attraction and one firebrand is hard to resist when you are alone with each other; racing across the highlands avoiding a war torn Scotland. The writing is excellent and the characters are engaging.

Bears of Valor Lake Shifter Romance Box Set by Lisa Daniels

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
These four books are probably best to read together.

Arthur's Mate

This story was interesting, and the author did a good job of informing us of her shifter world without taking away from the story. I was disappointed in the ending, because it took away from the character of Arthur. Emma is a victim of bullying, but Arthur helps her stand up for herself. This makes me believe Emily will grow in character, now that she has taken initiative in her life.

Robin's Mate

She's a hunter that records her trophy by dart hunting. Her latest trophy is Robin Witsel, bear shifter. The romance between these two is good, but the family makes strange requests and Robin justs goes along with it. I guess some people don't care about what their family is into.

Peter's Mate

This one is about the exile bears in Valor lake. Kiara had a one night stand and her daughter is now showing strange medical signs. Kiara just happens to take her to a shifter doctor and knows that her daughter is a shifter. Her daddy shifter turns out to be an exiled bear, but Kiara wants her daughter to know her father, because she doesn't understand the shifter side of her daughter. In this story, we find out more about the other side we keep hearing about in the first two books. This is probably the best story of all four books

Joel's Mate

Teresa is doing a summer job of Ranger Lookout, so she can heal from her boyfriends death. She meets Joel who hates his family, because of what they have done to the exiles. She learns about the shifters and keeps Joel from involving himself in family warfare. Hopefully, this is the last book in the series, because these shifters really don't deserve a happily ever after.

The Lord's Favourite Game by Henrietta Harding

This is a spicy novel that left me a little angry and glad that he got caught in his own game. He deserved it, for being the truly repugnant man that he is. I wish Diana wasn't as naive as she was, because then she could have stomped all over this repugnant man's heart. Yes, I am heartless when it comes to these types of men, because their goal is to hurt and humiliate women for the conquest. This story also fails to tell us what happen to all his illegitimate children.

A Bride For Luke (Sons of Nora White #1) by Cyndi Raye

I must say that Luke is a very cruel man. Although, Luke thinks he is protecting his mother by being mean. It is just going to get him no where, and points the direction of where the problem lays. My solution would have been to treat everyone the same, then nobody would ever know. The story is well written, but it does not reveal certain facts, and makes the reader guess. I'm guessing it will be revealed after all the boys get married. The characters are all well written, and I'm going to love seeing the other boys fall in love. The only character I did not like unfortunately was our hero, Luke. According to the author and his wife, he may have a heart of gold, but until gets rid of all that anger. He is sadly lost.

The Commander's Affair by Madeline St. James

I thought the book was well written, but the story and plot did not sit well me. Also, I know how difficult being a mistress was in those times, but she never should have come back from Wales. The divorce alone it made it dangerous for her, and she would have been spurned wherever she went; even though she never actually had physical relations with the man. As far as I am concerned, Daniel was indiscreet to where his affections lay, and causing undue harm to Charlotte. Daniel just could have dragged his wife through the mud, and been done with the whole business. The author is too soft, because the wife deserved everything she got running off with a common fisherman. Because Daniel is a stupid man, he ended up dragging his heart's affection through the mud with him. Really! What kind of man or gentleman does that!

The Gift of a Christmas Scandal: Regency Romance by Arietta Richmond

One is being forced to marry an Earl who she finds a bore, and the other is being forced by his dead father to marry a grasping neighbor girl. The only way out is a scandal, and must decide if they want to live with each other for the rest of their lives. This story is graphic, but with the what is at stake; it is understandable. I really enjoyed the story, but I didn't feel the chemistry between these two like I should have. There were steamy moments, but they seem to sizzle out very quickly.

The Scandalous Deal of the Scarred Lady: A Historical Regency Romance Novel by Hanna Hamilton

The injustices done to this lady are unbelievable. James, the Duke of Dunham, doesn't see her blemishes, but sees the beauty of the woman underneath. The thing that holds him back is the ruby brooch that Helena is holding between them. The intrigue is exciting and the insanity of one woman stretches to destroy lives when she can no longer control them. It held my attention through the climax and I wanted to finish to see all it all played out.

The Gift by Yvonne Lehman

This is about a school teacher and a woman who moved to the city. She returns for her grandfather's funeral and stays to help a girl named Mary Frances. Daniel and Kate remember how they used to be and the woman that Kate has become. It's about God's grace and plan for our lives.
