Cotton Tree Ranch: The Complete Boxed Set By: Vivi Holt Narrated by: Dawson McBride

The only one in audio that I hadn't listen to before is Dalton, but this story did not disappoint. All the stories are wonderful and the reader has a dreamy voice. I could never get tired listing to him. My favorite is Parker, because I love fun loving Jen and the light she brings to other people's lives. Parker comes out of his self made shell with Jen and their relationship goes from friendship to more.

Marrying a Marshal Box Set by Natalie Dean

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It seems this story can only be found in "Marrying a Marshal" series. It's about a woman who comes out west to be a mail order bride and is captured when she gets off the train and made a slave for a bunch of outlaws. The sheriff tracks down these bad guys and finds the women whom he met a year ago at the train station. This is an interesting take on a mail order bride story and I found it more viable than some that are written. The plot is well done and there is an exciting climax. Unfortunately, it cannot be bought separate.

The Warrior's Salvation (Warriors of Eriu #1) by Mia Pride

The description did not sound all that exciting, but the story is far from boring. Mia Pride as always has well developed characters and does not disappoint with her story. The story is exciting and the series promises to continue in an epic proportion. I love Jeffrey and Clarice and the emotions between them are raw, and sometimes downright nasty. Jeffrey is a man of honor and when he finds the Wee Jeffrey is his son; there is nothing he won't do to keep Clarice and his son.

Must Love Military (The Alaska Sunrise Romances #2) by Melissa Storm

This story kind of got to me, as I didn't see a way for this relationship to flourish. If one is willing to make sacrifices for love, than anything is possible. Taylor and Noah are proof of this. Noah saw beauty where others saw none. He found a woman different from all others and knew that she was for him. It's a shame that Taylor saw Noah for what she wanted in a man, but wasn't willing to find a way for them to be together. This story is heartbreaking at points and Taylor doesn't have an optimistic view on much. So, let's thank God for Noah's family!

Venomous Heart (Eok Warriors #3) by Mary Auclair

Rating:  ⭐⭐
This is a strange world that Mary Auclair has created. The concepts are good, but they really don't come together in her writing. Her characters are enigmatic and engaging, but some of her creatures are quite frightening, and at times I got lost in their descriptions. This story took some effort for me to read and I found I just wanted to skip over the erotic scenes.

The Duke's Saving Grace: A Regency Romance (The Returned Lords of Grosvenor Square Book 3) by Rose Pearson

I found this story intriguing, and a life lesson worth learning. The light can overcome the darkness in our hearts. We must see ourselves more than the superficial shell that we live in. Come journey with Lord Abernathy as he journeys through pain and darkness to a world of hope and love, I was not disappointed.

All's Fair in Love and Debauchery (The Inheritance Clause Book 4) by Samantha Holt

To be honest, the man on this cover looks like a villain, but that has nothing to do with how well this series is written. We finish this one off with the Marquess's task and all he has to do is stay in his ancestral home for two months. Unfortunately, in the six years he's been away, he has forgotten about his ward, Lucy. The Marquess tries to fight his attraction for her, but she is nothing like his wife and everything that he could want in the mistress of the manor and for himself. The climax in this book is surprising and makes you wonder why we are so afraid of expressing our true feelings, instead of going off on a tangent.

Jesus and Me One child’s friendship with the Son of God By Joshua Cartwright

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is more suited for children 8 to 12 years old. Each short story brings a message to Immy to learn and grow. I like that Jesus recognizes Immy when she is near Jesus like an old friend. Some of the Jewish words would be hard to pronounce for children this age. Having the glossary for these words is an excellent idea. I liked how you dealt with Jesus's death and resurrection. Keeping his painful death from Immy, but informing her of what happened and leaving the story with the joy of his resurrection and Holy Spirit.

The Roguish Ways of a Hopeless Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Novel by Lucinda Nelson

I must say that this story had a lot of potential, but I found many sections dragged out and quite boring. I found both of these characters quite charming, but both in need of more maturity for the position in life they were at.

Jasper Drake (Aurum Court Dragons Book 5) by Emilia Hartley

This is finally about the king of dragons. Here we see Jasper finally step up as king and take the responsibility he should have taken when his father died. Although his mate, Cora has brought a war to his doorstep, his dragon finally starts to meld in with the man. I've liked this series, but with this story; it has finally all come together.

Once Upon a Rake by Samantha Holt

I loved this story. A reformed rake who ruined a woman's life and the woman he ruined who's come back to haunt him. This story is witty and the plot is challenging. The writing of how these two try to stay away, but fight their attraction will make you smile. There is mystery and intrigue mixed in and I just couldn't put the story down.

Boxer Bear (Celebrity Shifters Book 1) by Mia Taylor

This is really a so so story. It has it's good moments but it's typical of repeating how they can't be together because they are shifter and a human. I am really getting sick of that theme, because you know in the end they are going to be together. And then the author insists on repeating it until you are sick of hearing it. The thing is mates are mates. The characters aren't that great of people either nor would I be friends with either of them.

The Duke and The Enchantress (The Enchantresses #2) by Paullett Golden

This is a cautionary tale of get to know who you are marrying without the stars in your eyes. You may find there is a dragon living in your new home, the world does not revolve around you, and marriage is work. Both our hero and heroine learn that they have to work for the marriage that they want. I laughed as these two worked their way through their own idiocy to find their happiness.I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book. This is my honest review.

Skating on Thin Ice (The Men of Warhawks #1) by Jacquie Biggar

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
This story is a romantic suspense. There are bigger things going on than all the accidents that are happening on the Warhawks team. I liked how they built our hero, Mac, but something about Sam's character felt pulled back. Even when we are in her head, we are really not, and the story starts to lose it's effect. The climax of the story is enlightening and suspenseful, but the truth is even at the end of this story, I still didn't really know Sam.

I received this bok for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily review this book and this is my honest opinion.

Captivated Cutter's Creek, Book 18 By: Vivi Holt Narrated by: Paul Curtis

I loved this story of Maria as she adapted to the Lakota lifestyle after her husband was killed and she was kidnapped. Her husband Botta came to love her and protected her no matter what happened, even when she was the foolish one. His love was so great that he tracked her down after the sheriff took her back to civilization to ask her to come back to him and his children. The author also made it plain that the settlers did not know what to make of Maria, so they called her "That Mrs. Holloway". So many times, authors try to just integrate the person back into society like nothing had happened. The truth is in that day and age, if a woman was captured by an Indian and was taken as a wife. It was better for her to stay with her Indian husband than return to civilization. White men and women were very bigoted at the time, and Christian women were not so Christian when confronted with the truth of living with the Indians.

A Courtship to Remember by Bridget Barton

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This a beautiful story of pain, heartbreak and finding true happiness in the one person you least expect. Elizabeth want to continue her pursuit of music, and Anthony wants the woman he's been pursuing for six years to come back to him. They hatch a plan and begin a courtship to bring Diana back and for her to gain her independence. What happens is that they both introduce each other to a new way of looking at the world. Their courtship is well written and the feelings they experience as they traverse the dangerous course their hearts begin to take.

Dread of The Earl by Deborah Wilson

This story starts in the dark of heart of an angry man. The story is dark and heartbreaking, but when Lucy decides to just love Kent, instead of fighting him. She finds the key to help heal his anger and rages. The only problem is the man who instigated the kidnappings is still manipulating their lives two years later. Lord Maltsby is a true villain and man never to be trusted. The plot is clear and the story takes unexpected turns, but the light of Lucy shines in the angriest Lost Lord.

Man of Matrimony by Thea Dawson

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a cute romantic comedy with a fraud green card and a marriage of convenience. The only problem is living and sleeping together creates a bond of friendship that can lead to falling in love. I love when the INS shows up and the usually emotional less Brianna panics. It's fun watching their relationship grow while they pretend that all these feelings will go away in two years. This is fun story and although I feel that Liam is a con man; he restores my faith in love when he sacrifices himself for Brianna.

A December with a Duke: A Regency Romance Seductive Scoundrels, Book 3 By: Collette Cameron Narrated by: Stevie Zimmerman

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love the patience of Griffin with Everleigh. He allows her the room to decide what she needs out of their relationship. He doesn't push her for a decision but abides by her wishes. The man understands what he wants, but know he needs to let Everleigh come to him. She loves him, but she lives in fear of the past. Her time at the Christmas party shows her that with Griffin she no longer need to fear but let him love her. I loved this audio version and felt like I was at the house party too.

To Steal a Duke's Heart by Audrey Ashwood, Rosie Wynter

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
One, I must say that I love this beautiful cover, and the sly smile and eyes of our model really portray my image of Grace. This story is well written and well thought out. It portrays all our pride and our self assurances of who we are being torn away to expose the raw and vulnerable side of our characters. Can the duke and Grace rise above the pain they caused each other to find love and forgiveness. Sometimes a very act of evil can cause two people so hurt to come together to save someone they both care for. This story emotionally touched my heart and allowed her characters to be stripped and grow emotionally and spiritually.

Kitty Confidential (Pet Whisperer PI #1) by Molly Fitz

Despite how stupid this plot is, it is really funny and filled with a bunch of crazy characters. This includes our heroine. Stupidity is the our heroine's mainstay, especially when it comes to the P.I. business. In fact, I think the cat is smarter than the human. It's obvious our human doesn't really know how cats operate and expects them to act like humans. She has a lot to learn.

On the Path of Vengeance: A Historical Western Adventure Book by Austin Grayson

This story is well written and very graphic. I enjoyed the story, but felt some elements of relationships between the people involved felt a little sterile. The passion between people who loved each other felt less than the hate of a evil and cold man. Otherwise, the plot and story line are excellent.

Legacy Accepted (Prime Legacy #2) by Tamar Sloan

This story is not what I expected and found the story rather boring. I failed to move itself until I was halfway through it and spent a lot of time on what happened in the previous book.

The Hail Mary Music Festival by Rory Allison

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
This little mystery is really strange, because the only mystery is who is causing the band members to have accidents. Fox Hill's local detective Caitlyn manages to run a music festival and solve a crime. The problem with this story is that it continues the relationship of Caitlyn and Kurt's relationship, while finding a boyfriend for Reba, while trying to solve the accidents that keep happening. There are only two suspects because the town is that small even with the influx of visitors during the Music Festival. I like the characters and the snarky lines, but the plot could have used the work.

Griffin Drake (Aurum Court Dragons Book 4) by Emilia Hartley

I was looking forward to Griffin's story, but I am kind of disappointed in the cover. It does not fit his description at all in this series. I thought Griffin's brooding more serious, but it is just he feels abused by his cousin's and left out. We learn move about Jasper's mate, and why the other dragon clan is searching for her. I am disappointed in the type of mate the author decided to give Griffin. I just wanted to smack her and tell her a curse is a state of mind. Where are all the strong women this author was writing? This woman is a waste of space, and her self pity made me sick. I was thinking, Griffin you can do better than this.

His Mysterious Silent Bride: A Christian Historical Romance Novel by Chloe Carley

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is book six in the Colorado Reborn series. We are now dealing with the children of Nate Trowbridge and Jem McClary. Jeremy after being rejected by Daisy in the last book goes to San Francisco to receive cattle for the ranch in Indian Rock. This story is well-written and follows a very difficult timeline that I am proud to say the author follows with amazing accuracy. The accuracy of historical happenings plays into the story and grabs you with an intensity of what is going to happen next. I have not been disappointed by one of these stories in the Colorado Reborn series, especially this one. This one will make you smile, because the miracle in this story can only be the hand of God.

Ryker Drake (Aurum Court Dragons Book 3)

It seems to me these Royal Dragons need to start tending their own town, now that they know what is wrong with Jasper. The writing of the dragon battle was excellent in this one. Ryker and Mina have connection right away, but Mina has such low self esteem that she doesn't think she deserves a mate, especially a Royal Dragon. I really liked this story and the world building is coming along beautifully as we begin to understand the hierarchy of these dragons.

The Forbidden Passion of a Governess: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Lucy Langton

Rating: ⭐⭐
This story has a very good plot, but the writing tends to drone on in places. The forbidden passion of the governess and the earl is continuously drummed throughout the book where I started to get a headache from it. Personally, you couldn't get me near the earl with his cold demanding arrogance. Emilia is wonderfully warm, but very much subservient in her ways. I guess that is why she falls in love the with earl and his dominance. I would have left him curled up in a ball in the garden, if he had done that to me at the ball. I've read better governess and the lord stories.

Her Highlander's Heart: Scottish Medieval Highlander Romance Novel (Highlanders of Cadney Book 2) by Fiona Faris

This story takes you back to a time when England was trying to overtake Scotland pitting brother and cousins against each other. A woman who's heart and strength of will inspires a highlander to find the truth. Milly and Nathan are excellent together, and love shines in every action and decision that these two make. Journey through treachery and the evil of one cousin as he sets out to destroy the Mackensie clan.

Moon 514: Blaze and the White Griffon By: Drew Briney Narrated by: Julian Pearson

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is an interesting and strange view of humanity in an apocalyptic world. Blaze and Evelia stand out and lead the humans of this strange mix of technology and magic. For me, I feel it is the continued genetic experiments that lead the magical woman to be able to help Evelia use what would be called psychic powers. (using the energy around to something different) It's only magic when we don't understand how it is done, example the witches that healed people using herbs in the middle ages. The narrator was good and held your interest, but did not separate voices, so sometimes I would wonder who's mind I was actually in at the time. I have to say what was the 2nd to last chapter really about. Is it a teaser for a new book, or just a reminder that our world can never be perfect? For me; it was out of place and wrong to put it here. It should have been put as the prologue or the first chapter of the next book, otherwise this story is well-written.
