At First Glance by Susan L. Tuttle

This is a wonderful story of a woman who learns the value of estimating men for more than they are. She finds two men who are interested in her romantically, but she finds she underestimates the value of the true gem, because he doesn't come in a shiny package. The shiny package, she overlooks his faults and in the end find his faults outweigh his worth. The problem for Penny is that her family under estimated her worth, and she has the wrong ideas about her own worth.

Werewolves of the Mountain (Werewolves of St. Neuri Book 1) by Abigail Raines

This story gets a little strange, but it is easy to figure out. Only the heroine in this story is a little ditzy for a fashion designer. I know she may have found Liam a little attractive, but she knows he lies to her. How can you build a relationship on mistrust? Even when the reveal comes down, she doesn't call him out on his lies. And lets face it, she is so dumb to go out and make her self bait without telling Liam.

Bound by Jane Hinchey

I love this series. The characters are sassy and just over the top. They are loyal to family and get distracted easily. Sometimes, love just finds you in the middle of a firestorm.

Hidden Courage (Boarding House Misfits Book 1) by Annie Boone

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is an unusual tale about someone who really shouldn't be in the west. He meets a woman who makes him feel alive, but she costs him his job. Sophia is colorful and outrageous, but thrown to the streets after her parents died. She steals to eat and make her way to Mexico. With the help of the boarding house lady, these two try to make a life for themselves. For me, the whole thing is wrapped up too tidy, after all the damage has been done. But the story in itself is fun.

The Perfect Gentleman (Valiant Love) (A Regency Romance Book) by Deborah Wilson

I'm loving this series. The names of the men in this family is quite ridiculous, but oh what fun the author has with them. I love that the author has the rake of the family fall in love with a plus size woman. Because he wants his horse back from her father, he spends time with Brindley so other men will look at her. What he finds is a beautiful woman with a sharp mind. Brindley is not at all fooled by his presence and rejects him full bore. She also realizes because of her size, if she does not marry a man who loves her, she would never be happy. She plans her life to live as a spinster. I love this woman and know her unhappiness in never being able to live up to her families expectations. Unconditional love is the only way to happiness.

Picture Perfect Love (Love on the Trails #2) by Natalie Dean, Eveline Hart

Rating:  ⭐⭐
Can I say, this story was kind of boring. There wasn't much action, except for the kidnapping. Although Arnold was a wonderful man, he was boring and without flavor. The two twins were kind of wicked, but the way they treated people sometimes was ridiculous and tiring. I love tails of the west, but I found a lot droning in this particular story.

Trusting His Heart: A McCormick's Creek Sweet Romance Novella by Jen Peters

This book has a lot of humor and the characters personalities grate on one another because Cat needs to be in control. Things aren't always easy when an attraction is this strong and the personalities of the people involved is even stronger. The bickering between these two is fun and the attraction could be come tragic, if one doesn't learn to trust one's own heart.

Lawfully Treasured (The Lawkeepers #1) by Jenna Brandt

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I love this series of Lawkeepers stories. This one is no different. Each character has a dilemma and centers around a man or woman in Law Enforcement. This story centers around two career minded people who fall in love with each other, and decide what is important so that they can build their relationship. Haley and Connor are both wonderful characters and know who they are, and are both willing to work to make love work.

Thankful for You (Heartwarming Holidays Sweet Romance Book 9) by Id Johnson

This is a heart warming romance and both Isabelle and Casey are wonderful characters. Both show a love for a little boy, not their own who desperately needs help. Sometimes things happen for a reason and it is up to us to be thankful for them.

Rose Mountain Bears Complete Box Set (Books 1-5) by Sarah J. Stone

The first story was pretty good, but they got worst as they went along. The bears started becoming irrevelant about book 3 and were more centered around the wolves. The 5th book was so way out there that I am telling you it is not worth reading.

Saving Sarah by Melissa Storm

This is a fun story with a woman who lives her life through others and a social media laughingstock. These two go mystery hunting with her dog Lucky as her companion. You'll fall in love with these two and cheer them on.

Off the Grid (Hell Yeah! Universe) by Kelly Collins

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a great story about living off the grid. Honestly though, they don't really live off the grid. They live on solar energy and windmills. Nikola finds that she is more than a trust fund baby and Colton finds a fiery woman who ignites his fire and stole his dog's affections.

The Duke's Wager: Defiant Brides Book 1 by Jennifer Monroe

Talk about spoiled and a girl with the clouds in her head, and the lying! There is nothing mature about these two and they deserve each other. The story is hilarious in some ways, and goes along a silly path. The defiance of Sarah deserved for her to be publically ruined so she wouldn't commit the same mistake again, which she continues to do without consequence and punishment. Personally, I would have sold her to the highest bidder and boarder her windows and locked her in her room. James was beyond ridiculous to continue to pursue her, that kind of defiance is bratty, childishness and beyond even the bounds of modern society. When trust fund children act like this, their parents cut them off.

Hearts in the Spotlight by Katie O'Connor

This is a lively story about a country western superstar and a woman who hides from the media. Love blindsides this couple and a deep friendship develops. I found Brett quite selfish at times, even though he has a big heart. Emily knows what it is like to struggle and knows what she has to do to cope with the things that make her uncomfortable. Emily is easy to love, but I found Brett at times the typical pampered star that took advantage of his entitlements. This is a great story, but my stumbling block was the hero in this case.

Secrets of London: Regency Romance Collection by Joyce Alec

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved each story in this series.

The Duke's Promise

I fell in love with Sophia and Matthew, but this story contains some really ugly things about Sophia's brother and his wife. I thoroughly enjoyed the story, but I felt the punishment for the Viscount and his wife was too light of a punishment. It is well written and entertaining as Matthew begins to see the light that is
Sophia Weston.

The Earl's Deception

This is another court the sister to get the diamond with the sister's permission. Of course, he sees that the sister has substance and his original object just wants the attention. This plot is the overlaying plot of the sister's suitor, Lord Hobart, who is the real mystery. I loved this story, because I feel the gentleman has his eyes opened to what real and true love really is.

The Viscount's Secret

I loved this story. The heroine is a woman who knows what she wants and even when her brother throws her to the streets she finds a way to survive. Lord Patton is a second son and he is very timid, but his new friend, Lord Fernley insists that Oliver was murdered. Lord Fernley is a kick. He is rambunctious, overbearing and extremely excitable. His mouth runs off at the wrong places and times. He is probably the best character in this story. It is Lady Hannah that brings Lord Patton out of his shell, and she pushes him to reveal his feelings so that she is not wondering if she has a chance with him.

An Earl's Love
The plot is is story is great! I love the mysterious amulet which starts Sarah Weston on an adventure that will change her life. The Earl of Thorndyke is wonderful, even though he never wanted Sarah to come to London. He is an honorable man for upholding his father's deathbed wishes. The intrigue is great and we watch a new Sarah come forth at the end of this story.

The Revenge of the Betrayed Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Bridget Barton

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story gets nasty at points, and even a good man can only take so much. The betrayal of Edward by his cousin whom he thought was his best friend is too much. It changes him in ways, that his beloved no longer recognizes him. This story confirmed what I have always felt. Revenge can never satisfy, it only changes you but Justice will bring you peace.

The Raven Curse (A Halloween Special) by Emilia Hartley

This is a fun story with a light-heartiness to it, even with demons and hell-hounds chasing one cursed raven shifter. Samantha is the last of the Carver witches and Ciaran wants Samantha to lift the curse before the demon gets him. This is one wicked Halloween tale, but at points the characters are slightly comical. It will bring you a little cheer and enhance your enjoyment of the Halloween season.

The Dragon's Salvation by Anastasia Chase

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
This is a about a woman with Cystic Fibrosis that is a cop. Ryker finds her half dead and uses his dragon abilities to heal her wounds from Zellini's thugs. He finds that she is his "dragon heart". The story kind of sells itself, but their are some major flaws, because he has healing abilities but can't heal her disease, but making her a dragon does. I've read the previous stories in this series and the mistakes are quite a few.

The Baron's Malady: A Smithfield Market Regency Romance: Book 4 by Rose Pearson

This story takes place during the scarlet fever epidemic in London. The disease spread to communities just outside of London also. This couple comes together because of the epidemic and realize they feel more for each other than they should. This is a very romantic tale and well-written til the climax with the Baron's fiance. I think this should have been handled differently, because what happened was quite crude, and not in context with the honorable Baron and supposedly a woman who only thought about society.

It Takes a Spy... (Secrets and Seduction #1) by Sheridan Jeane

This story is a comedy and farce. The heroine educates her fiance on her priorities after he has been accused of stealing her family jewels. She helps him escape the runners and then helps him solve the mystery of who stole the jewels. Their are parts that are really funny and in Regency, England can you imagine a nineteen and fifteen year old girl running around London with her fiance. Its a good story if you read it with the idea of a farce.

Waiting for the Laird by Willa Blair

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a really fun story, with a ghost and a castle. Love comes a second time for Lara Maclaren in the form of Ian Paterson. Only Ian holds a secret that can shatter Lara's heart. It's the reason that Her late husband didn't hire Ian for the renovations. I loved the story but I felt that the climax was a bit rushed.

Broken Betrothal: Mail Order Bride (Sweet Western Hearts) by Ruby Hill

This is not really a broken betrothal, just that the groom dies before Nora arrives. Her fiance's son arrives and wants to send her home, but decides she can become the housekeeper. With the arrival of Mr. Arbuckle things start to get interesting and a mystery takes place on how Peter Shaw really died. Good plot, but could have been executed better. Still it worth reading.

Imperfect Love (4Ever, #1) by Isabella White

The ending of this book is horrible. I hate books that end like this so you have to buy the next book. Holly is nothing but stupid and selfish and seriously damages her babies. Her pride refuse to have her doctor go to Gus Peters for the formula that was working for her hypertension. Seriously, what kind of mother endangers her child like that and beside her father could have sued Gus Peters to get his formula from him. Holly deserves everything that happens to her. And what kind of woman doesn't confront a man face to face with what her mother had done. Seriously Holly is all kind of messed up and deserved everything that happened to her.

I will not be reading the book next in the series. I just want to slap Holly silly.

Fatality: An alternative version of Imperfect Love (4Ever Series #1) (What If) by Isabella White

I've read "Imperfect Love" and I hated it. which is why I wouldn't read the rest of the series. I hate series that continue while the characters make the same mistake over and over and are so self absorbed they risk their children because of their pride.

Fatality I loved because in her grief Holly called Jake. Because of Jake's love for her and the fear for his child, he finds Holly. To do what's best for Holly and his daughter, He finds ways to make Holly and him to be a partnership.

An Earl's Love: Regency Romance by Joyce Alec

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The plot is is story is great! I love the mysterious amulet which starts Sarah Weston on an adventure that will change her life. The Earl of Thorndyke is wonderful, even though he never wanted Sarah to come to London. He is an honorable man for upholding his father's deathbed wishes. Charity Falls for the Rejected Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Novel by Hanna Hamilton

This novel is charming and the characters are wonderful. I knew who the culprit was halfway through the story. This had nothing to do with the author but for the fact I love a good mystery. What actually happened is surprising, but our two main characters know just how to handle the result.

Ladies of London Regency Romance Box Set by Emma Evans

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
These four books all revolve around one woman who helps couples overcome evil Lords out to destroy the woman's or couples life. She helps these women overcome ruin because some evil Lord wants something from them. It fun to find out each Lord is overcome, and they are each different.

Exiled Dragons Box Set (Volume III) and (Volume IV) by Sarah J. Stone

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
These stories are okay and are good to pass a couple of hours; otherwise don't expect anything spectacular.

Lords of London Regency Romance Collection (Lords of London) by Emma Evans

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved each of these stories. Each one is delightful with a wonderful couple who find love and happiness together. No matter the difficulties in each book, they overcome with love.

Western Brides: The Pregnant Bride's Trouble: A Sweet and Inspirational Western Historical Romance (Hearts and Hands Mail Order Bride Agency Book 4) by Indiana Wake, Belle Fiffer

Really, how self indulgent can a woman be when she is pregnant and alone. She hides her pregnancy so she can get a man to marry her, but the one man in town who is interested. She ignores. I might have liked this story, if I didn't find Briony so repellent as a woman. She created her own mess when trying to tell Dean to leave her alone. Men like Dean are to be avoided at all cost, even to carry a gun..

The Superhero's Husband: A novella about what it's like being married to a superhero (The Superheroes' Wives World Book 2) by Joynell Schultz

This is another fun romance story. I like Rhett, but I feel he takes too many risks. His wife undervalues him, until he figures out the villain "Dark Lighting's" identity. The story is short, but is well written with the comic aspect written in the dialog.

Courting a Spinster for Christmas: Sweet and Clean Regency Romance (His Majesty's Hounds Book 16) by Arietta Richmond

This is a romance about an older couple. Two people who have much in common, but never had time for marriage. These two are lonely as they approach fifty. They are spending alot of time together to research the history of the Seddon de Hirst family tree. They find they have more in common than history and room for love. This is well written without the intense passion of a younger couple, but written with thought to the couple's maturity and their respective careers.

Mysterious Hostage In Circle C: A Western Romance Novel by Evelyn Boyett

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
This story spent so much time on getting Emily out of Circle C, I lost that this was supposed to be a love story. Story is typical, damsel in distress transfers her affections to her hero. Hero decides to take care of Emily, but just could have pawned her off on her Uncle. Characters in this story had no depth and I didn't get a real sense of Emily or Cal. The action was well written, but that is where it ended.

The extended epilogue available at the end of the book is terrible.

Justin: Fairplay Shifters (A Paranormal Romance Story) by Serena Meadows

I read the prequel to the series first. The names for his first wife and how they met are not the same. This story without the prequel would have been more enjoyable for me, because the referrals are all wrong. The story stands on its own and the romance and action play is well written. An author should always keep to what she has written in another book as close as possible. Readers like me will catch out bad errors and the wrong name for his first wife is one of them.

Regency Christmas Collection: Historical Romance Collection by Caroline Johnson

⭐⭐⭐⭐
I've read most of these tales before and like and loved for each of their delightful stories. Conflicted Heart is the one that is written the best and you are as conflicted as our heroine. Each story has its own merits and each heroine her own beautiful character.

The Perfect Lady (Valiant Love) (A Regency Romance Book) by Deborah Wilson

I loved this story about a barmaid and a general. Of course there is so much more to the story, but I loved Beatrix's courage and fell in love with Hero. Yes, the hero's name is Hero! He is slightly good looking, commanding and honorable with a little bit of wickedness. The trials and the situations are of their own making, but the characters and the story are a lot of fun.

A Wicked Kind of Husband by Mia Vincy

This is a deeply emotional and terribly funny novel. I would spend time laughing out loud about a scene I just read. The banter between these two was hysterical and that banter made the respect and admiration grow between these two. This is a story worth reading, because the depth of friendship they developed grew into a love that will never tear them apart.

Lady Sophia and the Proper Gardener: Clean Historical Regency Romance (House of Catesby) by Sunny Brooks

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a delightful tale and very light-hearted. Sophia is lovely and David is somewhat of a coward. Both put there hearts on the line, but David is hiding from his mother as a gardener. I enjoyed this story and left me with happy thoughts.

Released by the Highlander (Highlander Bride Book 1) by Veronica Touse

This is a story about a young woman who leaves her husband to protect her child. The clan chief gives her refuge and nanny to his youngest daughter. A romance blooms between Baile and Mazey. Baile is a caring man even though he leads his people with a strong hand. He is patient with Mazey and loves her with out pushing her. Although I can't stand self deprecating women, I understand why Mazey was this way from the abuse she withstood from her husband, Hume. In this story, love doesn't have an age. There is wisdom in age, and Mazey needed just that wisdom. The story is well-written and it is easy to get lost in the emotions of the these characters.

Duke of Desire by Jodie Sloan

This book goes from beginning to end very quickly. Something is lost in the story and the story has no real climax. The characters are wooden figures with no real emotion or depth. I felt dirty and cheated by the end.

A Southern Season: Stories from a Front Porch Swing by Eva Marie Everson, Linda Yezak , Ane Mulligan, Claire Fullerton

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I liked each of the stories, two were just okay, but Ice Melts in Spring and A Magnolia Blooms in Winter are emotional and well-written.

The Mystery of the Hunted Lady: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Abigail Agar

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed this story immensely. The story starts off with witnessing her father's murder, then running to save herself from her family's killers. The killer goes to the authorities and tells a tale where he saw Vera kill her family. Vera goes into hiding while trying to find out who killed her family. There is a lot of suspense and I must say that even though Vera falls in love with Lord Stanley. Lord Stanley has a lot of growing up before I would ever marry him. I found him to be weak of character, even though he had a change of heart in the end.

Labors Of A Hero: A Fairytale Inspired Romantic Comedy (Inspired by Hercules) (A Fairytale Fantasy Book 3) by Billie Dale

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is hilarious. What this poor man has to put up with to get a date with Meghan is unbelievable. Yet, through man-eating mallards, pig chasing, and whatever else he had to endure. I laughed all the way to the happy ending.

Fated by the Marquess by Madeline St.James

This is book two of "A Rogues Courtship" series. Here we have a fallen lady who was befriended by Lady Catherine from the last book. Lady Catherine tries to raise Lady Claire back into society, but doesn't realize that Claire has been having a relationship with a Marquess who disappeared six months ago. This story has many twists and turns, and the one thing I realized that Christopher kept going back to that bordello every month, because he had fallen in love with Claire. This is a delightful tale and I fell in love with the man that Christopher is.

Starting Over: Inspirational Romance (Christian Fiction) (A Hopes Crest Christian Romance Book 1) by Laura Hayes

This is a great Christian romance story. Both characters step out in faith that it is time to start dating again. Each character has his or her own set of problems, and it comes down to the ability to trust and not cast judgement until all the facts are heard. I loved this story and wonder how they were going to work out their differences.

To Save A Bear (Lumberjack Bears Book 2) by Emilia Hartley

This story is actually better than the first one. I find more connection with the heroine in this one. This story we learn more about a ruling council for the shifter community. We also learn why these men are so dangerous. This world is developing well and looking forward to more in the series.
