The Lucky One A One-Night-Stand Romantic Comedy (Carolina Connections, Book 3) By: Sylvie Stewart Narrated by: Meg Price

Bailey is a woman whose heart is soft, but because of damage done by some unworthy male; she sees something in her lacking. She doesn't believe a man like Jake could possibly see her. Jake saw the woman, not the girl. There is no girl in Bailey, only what her friends try to make her wear. I learned it's not about what's on the outside, but what's on the inside that a man finds attractive. A real man likes girls, but they don't fall in love with and a settle down with a girl. Although, I have to agree that Jake fell into that stalker category. Although, this is a very funny story; the topic is not. It's about being yourself and finding the self esteem to accept that a man can love you for who you are.

The Fix A Single Mom Romantic Comedy (Carolina Connections, Book 1) By: Sylvie Stewart Narrated by: Alice Wander

This story is very funny and the antics that happen to Laney are delightful. The voice the narrator uses for Rocco sounds like a lispy kid talking like an adult. I like that Nathan has his head on straight, because dealing with Laney, he's going to have to remember to be the adult. This story reminded me that life happens and how we deal with the pain and joy can make our life good or bad, also it helps that Laney has some crazy friends.

Hiding with the Billionaire Billionaires of REKD, Book 1 By: Donna K. Weaver Narrated by: Vicki Pierce

I enjoyed this story very much. The intrigue of what Ahri husband had done is left in the air until the climax of this story. Our billionaire is smart, but it seemed he missed a small problem in his security of Ahri. These characters are memorable & shows that geeks rule the world.
😻💓
This story shows how men with such high intelligence learn to compete in this world and guard their hearts at the same time. It broke my heart every time he withheld himself from Ahri, because Ahri knew he was hiding himself from her.

Haunted Souls By: Kathryn Knight Narrated by: Kristin James

This story made me ache as these two tried to work things out. The pain of not knowing he had a son for 4 years devastated Brett. Emily knew she was a bad person by not telling him, but in her own right she did try. It seemed fate was against them. When Brett came back to town 4 years later, she braved the truth instead of lying to him. There was always something deep between these two, but circumstances and ambitions drove them apart. This story has a Gothic feel to it with the ghosts added in, but that is what will drive these two to rethink their relationship. This story is well developed and emotional. It made me think about some of my choices in life. How different my life would be if I made different choices.

The Marquess Who Kissed Me (Valiant Love #14) by Deborah Wilson

The conversations between these two characters are delightful and hurtful. Both are trying to protect their hearts, without giving of themselves. When Oliver and Belle try to make a concerted effort to truly know one another. Oliver finds himself withdrawing away from Belle. Belle knew at one time, but that was before her mother died and her father sold her into slavery. Belle finally understands as they attempt to know each other that Oliver doesn't know what love is. What Oliver doesn't understand and Belle realizes that Oliver needs to be unconditionally loved. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:7-8.

The Lady’s Masquerade by Deborah Wilson

I love a good mystery, and a great romance. This story has both. Delia is no ordinary lady & Kieran is one strange Duke. They feel things together that are forbidden between a governess & a duke. Kieran has a sense of responsibility that will not allow him to marry the governess, although he is head of heels in love with her. Delia just wants to know who's responsible for leaving her sister dead on the road? This story has a great climactic ending ensuring a happy ending.

The Perfect Duke (Valiant Love #3) by Deborah Wilson

I loved this story. It's the perfect romance with characters that are real. It seems the Duke of Ayers is not the stogy man portrayed in the first two novels. The perfection in this story is that these two actually have the same issue, but their chemistry for each other is electrifying.

The Spark An Enemies-to-Lovers Romantic Comedy (Carolina Connections, Book 2) By: Sylvie Stewart Narrated by: Amanda Stribling, David Black

This story is hysterical. People probably thought I was crazy as I listen to this story on the way to work. I laughed so hard, people stared at me from their cars at lights. Mark and Fiona are a laugh a minute together. What made this story great was how these two broken people overcame together. This story made my 45 minute drive to work a piece of cake.

An Amish Christmas Love By: Joseph Hersh Narrated by: Julie Lancelot

This story is written from the male perspective and the story is slow. The man is self abasing and he does a lot of pity parties. I'm glad he found someone to live his life with, because listening to his inner thoughts was sometimes painful. This story would have been done better with a male reader. The story itself is has long periods of nothing happening and I'm not sure that it is relevant to the story.

Shattered Diamonds Brunswick Bay Harbor Gems, Book 1 By: Ann Omasta Narrated by: Ann Omasta

This story in itself is heartbreaking. The characters are well developed and all of them are lovable. Each character has his or her own pain and past that they have to overcome. This story shows how healing love can be, but when the past comes back, can we overcome or do we want to?

Love's Courage By: Elizabeth Meyette Narrated by: Amy McFadden

This is a remarkable tale of the love and courage. It is well written and the characters are well and deeply developed. The author is remarkable on the details of the story that it integrates very well into the time period of the American Revolution. At times, I felt the action of the story going on around me as the action of the story became tense. This story is epic in it mastery and look forward to the other books in the series.
