Tempered Dreams Tempered Series, Book 2 By: Pamela S. Thibodeaux Narrated by: Terri England

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story deals with abuse, spousal and child abuse. When Scott met Katrina, she had been in an accident with her drunken husband. While her husband is in jail, Katrina decides this is the best chance to get away from her husband and divorce him. Scott finds himself enamored of Katrina and driven to help her and love her. Before Katrina can accept Scott's love, she must learn to not live in the past and accept the love and forgiveness of God. In this story, Scott has his failures, but he represents what God's love & forgiveness is supposed to be like. The narrator is excellent and again brings the emotions and characters to life.

Tempered Hearts: Tempered Series Edgy Inspirational, Book 1 By: Pamela S. Thibodeaux Narrated by: Terri England

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is edgy and deals with trust and  issues of rape. Both of these characters are emotional and need the love of God in their lives. With the help of Craig's grandfather, Tamara learns to trust God again, but Craig rules the ranch. Craig learns that passion isn't what God created him for and he must learn to put his faith in God if he is to have Tamera. Craig and Tamera learn to work together and trust that they will be there for each other as they find that the love they have for each other is greater than the desire. Tamera and Craig learn to temper their hearts to find the will of God. The narrator does an excellent job of dramatization, and the character come alive in this audiobook.

Mail Order Miranda (Widows, Brides, and Secret Babies #20) by Jenna Brandt

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a really straight forward mail order bride novel. There is no real drama, only sleepless nights due to baby Eleanor crying  and worrying about whether her new husband loves her. The twins are typical hyper-active boys whom need a strong loving hand to guide them. Cade is a man at wit's end and still grieving for his wife, but has to remarry because his boys aren't going to wait for him to get over his wife. Both are children of God, and realize that God brought them together to help each overcome the pain of loss. I believe that this story could have been more, but it is good as written.

Lawyer Dragon's Surrogate (Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers Book 3) by Brittany White

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is has been a good series so far. I loved the first two books in the series, but I only liked this story. The story in itself is good. It's the plot that lacks. Seriously, the woman doesn't recognize her mate? He recognizes her immediately, but still goes through with his plan. Then they have sex, instead of invitro goes against every surrogate contract out there. My opinion is to throw out all the legal stuff, because our characters obviously do and have a lot of fun.

Trusting the Betrayed (Rogue Dragons Book 1) by Emilia Hartley

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is going to be an interesting series. We have three males who were sent away from their clan to find and bring back the son of their leader. It appears that the son has lost his mate and has claimed this mountain town as his own. Casey doesn't expect to find his mate on this mission, but he finds it in a tiny pixie woman who owns the local ink shop. She is a fire cracker, but the chemistry between them is undeniable. She knows he holds a secret, but she asks him to let her figure it out. Meanwhile, these four mixed-up crazy dragons decide that they are not leaving this mountain and are becoming a clan. I look forward to the next books in this series.

The Scent of Every Sin by Meghan Sloan

Rating: ⭐⭐
This story doesn't have a book cover nor can you find it anywhere except on Meghan Sloan's website. I found it through one of my authors.
This story is in violation of every Regency rule of the Ton that ever existed. I guess if you are going to violate rules, you might as go all the way. This story is quite a shocker because the authors who recommended her writing style would be shocked if they actually read her story. I'm not even going to tell you what it is about, because the Ton would never had let Alexander and Sophie get away with the vulgarity of their relationship. The writing style is great, but this story would have been much more believable in another setting or time.

Among the Pages by Sara R. Turnquist

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story was actually two stories. The story in the diary is of a strong woman who endured what all the Suffragists endured to get the Nineteenth Amendment passed. The reader of the diary was a lost soul, who everyone around her was questioning her beliefs. The depression that ensued from this plus the grief from her grandmothers death compounded the problem. I understand the issue and the personality disorder that causes this type of depression. The problem with this story is I didn’t see the parents confronted with her problem. Parents acceptance of the issues is a large part of the healing process. I know this personally. The passion and the anguish were not really expressed until the end of the story. The truth is I thought the ending of the story could have been a lot better.
