New Beginnings by Lydia Hall

Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a second chance romance. A man who had a crush on a girl in college takes a chance when he meets up with her years later. He has to take it slow because she is trying to recover from her divorce. So, he befriends her. This story is well written, and very dramatic. The characters are well written and our billionaire is quite lovable.

Left To Die (Adele Sharp #1) by Blake Pierce (Goodreads Author), Abigail Reno (Narrator)

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The narrator could have done without the accents or at least studied the accents before trying them. The story is compelling and well written. Adele over reaches in her efforts to capture her killer, and this is why we end up with a climatic ending that bordered on Adele's own stupidity. The characters in this story are all well-written and each has their own quirky nature. This makes each character in the story more compelling as they work towards catching this serial killer. This story personalizes the serial killer, reminding us that the monster is human.

Forge of the Highlander’s Destiny: A Steamy Scottish Historical Romance Novel by Eloise Madigan

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This story is highly entertaining and these two characters are a lot of fun. This story is full of treachery, two crazy people, and an unknown evil. I loved the craziness and the evil that permeates our main characters. There is a terrible twist to this story that our hero and heroine must overcome. It 's a good thing that they love each other.

A Robbery To Change Their Destiny: A Clean Western Historical Romance Novel by Evelyn Boyett

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I liked this tale of intrigue and romance. The characters were well-developed and were sensible beings. Sometimes I read these stories, and they pull an idiotic move and get away with it. Our sheriff is a very sensible man and although wanting to rush in to save the love of his life. He kept his head and with a little help, he saved the day. This is a story of love and patience. Sometimes patience is the key to solving life's problems.

A Wish for his Cursed Marchioness by Ava MacAdams

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The plot and story are well written. As pale women are touted as diamonds in the ton, this story surprised me. This women is not a true albino because her eyes are green. She is a pariah to her father and the county she lives in. The Marquess only sees her as an angel and quickly introduces himself to her. He finds she is not only a beautiful, but intelligent and witty. I find that this author's idea of the ton is not quite right.

A Duchess by Christmas: A Historical Regency Romance Novel by Tiffany Baton

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is a strange story and the Duchess of Galpin is a strange creature. I won't tell you how this ends, because I'm not actually sure. All I know is that these two are immediately attracted to each other have the strangest courtship. They also have the worst parents. The best thing I can say is that it is quite entertaining and there are a lot of unexpected twists.

The Art of Coloring his Heart by Carol Colyer

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is one of the better western romances, I've encounter. The main drawback on this story is Violet our main character. Although, she is a force to be reckoned with and she helps James. For such a good character, she tortures James for revenge on his misbehavior. This is not a very admirable trait in a woman of great character. Also this little tirade extended the book beyond what would be considered a great story into just good. The supporting characters are great and the villain is written over the top.  I thought the prologue of Violet's life would lead somewhere, but just became useless information. It's an entertaining story, none the less.
