This story starts out with a daring escape from murders, but it splits a clan that only two survived that we know. Cryss is looking for any of the children that survived, Sheriff Reaves is trying to keep his town in one piece. A series of mystery, intrigue and revelations will come to light as these two delve into the past. This story is written differently from other stories like this and the story-line is smooth and the climax quite exciting as the evil that dwells in this town is revealed after 20 years.

Hunted by the Dragon (Black Sky Dragons #1) by Addison Carmichael
One Perfect Summer (Hazel Island #0.5) by Iris Morland
The problem with throwing caution to the wind, can mean love has a chance to sneak in. Bekah takes that chance with her high school crush. Elliot is all in on a non committed fling, Thee two characters have the fire and chemistry that makes this kind of story good and sometimes emotional. This story does make a point that when it came to the most important thing, They forgot to communicate.

A Marriage of Convenience for the Unloved Rancher: A Historical Western Romance Book by Cassidy Hanton
This is a strange story about a man rejected by society because of a murdering, thieving man who represented himself as respectable. The man comes in and shoots the family, then blames the son. The whole town believes him. First of all this story line is unbelievable as written. Otherwise barring the background story, the characters and their relationship is well written. Unfortunately, the story line completely failed the well developed characters.
Family Bonds- Hunter and Kayla (Amore Island #1) by Natalie Ann
This is the first book in this series and its the correct couple to start. This relationship is high energy even with the secret relationship going on. Kayla being the stubborn woman that she is, makes the dialog and chemistry between them flare. Although, the mystery of who wants to harm Kayla comes to a predictable end. Still the story is a fun read.
Family Bonds- Eli and Bella (Amore Island #6) by Natalie Ann
Eli is an enigma and is raking in the money in his casino. Bella is the daughter of a casino owner in Monte Carlo. Bella is sent for protection to Eli, but the sparks fly between these two. The tension and chemistry is tightly written. The answers and climax of the story is surprising, but answers a lot of questions. The suspense is tight and the characters are wonderfully written.
Jasmine Sea (River's End Mystery Romance #2) by Phillipa Nefri Clark
I wish I could say that this story could be a standalone, but I can't. I haven't read the first book, and there is a lot left in translation. The plot and mystery were stirring and the climax exciting. I wish I could have rated it higher, but the feeling of being lost continued to haunt me through out the story. I don't recommend reading this series out of order.

His Pure Heart's Disguise: A Historical Western Romance Book by Mia Dunham
Betty and Arthur are great together, but Arthur is the snake in the garden of the farm's beehives. Only Arthur doesn't want to do the evil deeds that he has been blackmailed to do. The story is compelling and shows how guilt can cause you to redeem yourself, especially when you truly love someone. Hopefully, there is redemption for everyone who regrets a decision.

The Heart of Us (Love in Isolation #4) by Kennedy Fox
This is an emotionally gripping story about escaping abuse. One woman's escape finds her hiding half a country away from her ex-husband. The man that hires her goes into hiding with her when her ex-husband burns down his surf shop. It's also a good thing that his brother is a billionaire. The story is well written with a few non realistic items. Otherwise, it kept me emotionally gripped through the climax of the story.
Her Valentine's Rogue by Virginia Heath
This is a sweet story about Lily, the lady's maid and Evan the coachman for the Brooke's household. These two are introduced when Evan comes to work for the Brookes and Lily begins to trust again when she is impressed by Evan's ambition, and how far he has come from being left at the Foundling Hospital. This novella makes you yearn for that warm love in the middle of February.
Protector Dragon's Shattered Mate (Irish Dragon Shifter Brothers #20) by Brittany White
This is a fun little story, but it's got a lot of holes in it. It action-packed, but the romance between the main characters is where all the holes are. The book is packed with so much of the other characters from other books, that any real development of their relationship is lost.
Deciphering His Enigmatic Heart by Carol Colyer
This is a fun little gem. The whimsy play between the our two detectives is fun and sometimes tension filled. I enjoyed the information on how a Pinkerton is trained. I wasn't sure how the fake marriage would play out, but the author didn't let me down. The climax is tension filled and humorous at points. What I didn't like is the constant self doubt, I felt it was a little overdone. The story line and plot are well-written and the characters could well be made part of a series of Pinkerton tales.

A Doctor's Cure for Heartache: A Historical Western Romance Book by Carol Colyer
This is a great story, and Dr. Gerald Banks know how to work a crowd. Unfortunately, he's never met Melanie Benson. It's not love at first sight for Melanie and Dr. Charlie Noble. Charlie is what his last name implies, noble. Charlie and Melanie develop a really deep friendship that eventually turns to love. The villain is vile and as the plot thickens our heroine truly rises to the challenge. The climax is exciting and the characters are well-written. This is an adventurous love story and I enjoyed reading it.

Promise Made: Barefoot Bay Resort - Prequel by Molly Maco
This is a good story between two women who have to say goodbye to each. They have to find a new owner before she passes away, so they can continue in the traditions of the hotel that they started and built. It's a sad story, but a story that gives hope to those of us left behind. It's about giving a start to someone who may not have been able to do otherwise. How even through the death of a loved one we can continue to love and give to others.

The Duke and the Assassin (The Royal Agents of MI6 #1) by Heather Slade
This story starts up rather slow, but speeds up to a heart-stopping climax. The plot and story-line is great, and the characters are well-defined. There are inconsistencies in the operation of MI6 and how the CIA does or does not cooperate with England's Intelligence Agency. Otherwise, since I love action suspense novels with romance mixed in, I really liked this story, even with it's inconsistencies.
Fugitive (Beast Warriors #1) by Bliss Devlin, Ophelia Sexton
This is a nice love story with plenty of action. The characters need a little more development along with some more world building. We know that these shifters exist, but we have no idea how mating works, or what really makes them shifters, or even their abilities. The same goes for our healer. Is she just a strong psychic who can manipulate molecules or is she actually using magic? It's all questionable and the story leaves a lot in the air.
Beneath the Willow Tree by Abby Burrus
This story is a allegory of a sinner and how Christ finds us and takes away our sins. Unfortunately, the character's are stiff and feel unreal. The message is clear, but I lost the feel of what I should have felt at her final choice. I think the characters need more work and I was walking through faceless characters of evil intent.
Where Love Illumines (Where There is Love #2) by Donna Fletcher Crow
This is an excellent fictional story about real life people. It's the love story between a preacher, Rowland Hill and the women he was in love with Mary Tudway. This story brings to life the reality of being unequally yoked. Rowland loves Mary, but puts off asking for hand in marriage, because one; he wasn't ordained, and two; he questioned having a wife that didn't theologically agree with him. Mary wants the social life of the aristocracy, but her heart is empty living that life. The author brings Mary and Rowland's life a love story of not only a physical and emotional love, but a spiritual love. The relationship between Rowland and Mary may be fictional, but the events that transpired during that time were real. It makes this story fascinating and even made be do a little research into the life of Rowland Hill and Bishop Twysden.

Montana Rescue (Echo Canyon Brides #1) by Linda Bridey
This is a really good book with some very eccentric characters. This has got to be the most colorful town in the west. Everybody is a different race, and almost everyone has some strange insecurities. The villain in this story is strange and they have no idea the secrets that the evil Earnest has or his plans for the town. The reader has no idea either, and the villain is left to terrorize this town for another day, or book 2 of this series. The story has some deep moments, but is very lighthearted in nature.
Next Door A Chloe Fine Psychological Suspense Mystery, Book 1 By: Blake Pierce Narrated by: Laura Bannister
This is a strange tale about two twins, twins who came home to their mother laying dead at the bottom of the stairs. Chloe is training to be an FBI agent and Danielle is barely surviving as a bartender. This a great psychological thriller with many twists as Chloe navigates a case where Danielle is accused of murdering her boyfriend. I love how the author sticks to how a criminal investigation is navigated and Chloe makes decisions on fact and instinct. There is a lot of emotional and distressing situations, but the author handles the situation well, and the narrator uses the emotion to push the story emotionally for the reader/listener.
