Itsy Bitsy Spider (Emma Frost #1) by Willow Rose
This story is not a cozy mystery and deals with some very terrifying issues. The role back to 1977 to 1985 is sickening and gave me a very good idea to the serial killers identity. Although, I feel that Emma Frost is kind of stupid in the revealing of the killer. My attitude is to hire a exterminator and exterminate my house and the yard outside. Tarantula type spiders are a menace and should never be in your house. This story is not for reading before going to bed. The cover should tell you why. I was held to the climax of the book, but the story started to fail me after the killer's reveal.
The Needing Moore Series Trilogy: Searching for Moore, Moore to Lose, & Moore than Forever (Needing Moore #1-3) by Julie A. Richman
First of all, I must say that I'm glad I read these books as a box set. The author has no idea how to end a book, and after the first ending I would never have picked up the second book. Because they were all together, this series actually got a chance with me. I loved the two main characters and their sad story. Some of the turning back in time chapters were upsetting because even though they explained what happened to them. I wanted them over with so I could get back to what was happening now. Personally, I would have preferred starting them in college and moving them through time. I understand why the author wrote it the way she did, but like I said; I got annoyed. Even so, this book is highly passionate and emotional, and has a love that last a lifetime. I disagree with some of the principals that are applied in this story, but I do understand why Schooner left CJ, twenty-four years of deceit and hollowness was too much for Schooner to take after finding Mia again.
The Highlander's Secret Maiden: A Scottish Historical Romance Novel by Lydia Kendall
This story is has an epic plot and a conclusion that is tragic even with it's happily ever after. First, I'm afraid for Georgiana because she is young and naive. I understand her not wanting to marry Bolton, because he is a brute of a man. To run off with two strangers to another land is not only naive and stupid; it is dangerous and the conversations that both brothers engaged in front of her should have told her that was the situation. The story is tragic and heart-wrenching at times. The two brothers fighting over Georgiana broke my heart. I was hoping the brothers could resolve the situation between the two of them and the resolution is not one I would have chosen. This story is well worth the read and you'll end up attaching yourself to at least one of the characters.

Kiss Me, Cowboy (76th Copper Mountain Rodeo #3) by Melissa McClone
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Two cowhands that are in love with each, but one has a strict rule and the other needs to leave. One kiss and Charlotte is in love. Zach needed someone to listen and Charlie happened that night. You know Zach is in denial throughout this book, because he just doesn't want Charlie to leave. I loved the stupid man and Charlotte reminded of a bit of myself. Fit in a man's world, and leave the girly stuff for your personal life, that is how Charlotte survived working with men in a job that she loves. When we see Charlie introduce Charlotte to Zach, we see a change in Zach in his attitude towards her. I loved this story and could wait until Zach open his eyes and his heart to love.

Mending the Duke: A Smithfield Market Regency Romance: Book 3 by Rose Pearson
I enjoyed this Beauty and Beast fairy tale, only the Beast wasn't only only angry and depressed. Beauty is a woman who works in an orphanage and hopes to bring peace and love to her charges. You'll love how Laura and Eloise respond to John. How they bring him back to life with their love for life, even though both have nothing but the orphanage. "Mending the Duke" is a wonderful tale to brighten your day.
Shipwrecked with a Suitor (Ravishing Regencies Book 3) by Emily Murdoch
This is a delightful tale of two people who find themselves thrown together by a war across the channel. I loved Helena right off, but Pierre had to grow on me, because he is typical of the French nobility. He only thought about himself and how he felt, never about Helena and he used Helena's feelings. He just up and left with his friend, because he preferred his luxury to what Helena had to offer. Emily Murdoch captured the attitude of the French nobility perfectly. It took a lot for me to actually to like Pierre because I hate charming men. It is their narcissism and arrogance that makes them unappealing. This story is perfect for an afternoon read.
The Captain of Her Betrayed Heart by Abigail Agar
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is a case of mistaken identity and a immature girl who runs away instead of facing the truth. It costs them fours years of being together, and the workings of an evil brother who plans to keep them apart forever. I still found Gwyn immature even at the end of the story and feel she never actually grew into the woman she should have been. I understand Jack's anger and the sadness of never knowing why Gwyn ran away. When Henry made Jack a pariah in his own family, I am glad Jack decided to fight when he saw that his diary had been rewritten. I loved Jack, but I felt that Gwyn deserved everything that was happening to her, because she is stupid, naive, never learn to trust the one man who really truly loved her, and listened to a man who was never trustworthy. This story is passionate and made me angry, because I hate women who are stupid and Gwyn is stupid.
