Sheriff's Affection by Emma Harper

This novel is about a thirty year old woman with no prospects of marriage in her Virginia home, she answers a mail order ad in Kansas. She marries the sheriff and teaches the children in town. Nellie secretly longs for a child of her own, but believes her age keeps that from happening. This is a short novella and things quickly happen though the author makes sure that a timeline is properly followed. It is well written for a short story and is great for an afternoon reading in the sun at the beach.

This book was originally a readers exclusive and I received this book for free. This is my honest opinion.
