Hope of Romance (Searching Hearts #4) by Ellie St. Clair

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Polly is an over exuberance young woman, who looks forward to the London season after her three other siblings have gotten married. What she finds is London's facade and a man out to save her. Sebastion took one look at Polly and it stirred something inside him. He finds every reason not to pursue her, but overhears Yardley betting his friends that he will ruin her. Sebastion and Polly are good together, but I find there is something off putting about Sebastion as he deals with Polly. It could be the whole Patricia thing.

The Dragon's Healer by Anastasia Chase

Rating:  ⭐⭐
This book is about a dragon shifter who has left his clan and hides in the human world. He goes to work for a natural healer who owns a apothecary. This book deals a lot with the relationship between Valen and Evette, but does not take in the world of the dragon into thought. It shows when he returns home to try and heal Evette from her illness. The dragon world is confusing and tyrannical. I don't know what the author can do make this world seem more believable, because it is rough, confusing and not a place I would want to know.

Return to Walhalla by Laura Hodges Poole

This is a fun small town romance. Penny finds herself confused about whether to stay in Walhalla. She finds love with Tommy, but Tommy refuses to give his heart away to another woman who won't stay in Walhalla. This story made me laugh at points and want to pull my hair out at others, at points it will even confuse you with who actually owns the house, and the embarrassment of unknown relatives.

Love's Vow (The First Street Church Romance #4) by Melissa Storm

This is the wedding of Ben and Summer. Murphy's law applies to this wedding. My first note would be to sue the dressmaker for not having the wedding gown ready a week before the wedding. The day of the wedding is beyond ridiculous and Summer is a push over for allowing it to happen. The rest of the book deals with the love of friends, repairing family relationships and believing in the one you've chosen to marry. This story is well written, and touches the heart where our relationship with others is reflected.

Pleasuring Lady Pennington (A Super Steamy Regency Romance Book 6) by Georgette Brown

Rating:  ⭐⭐
This is a well written book of erotica. There is no romance and the ending does not end in an HEA. Just one woman getting what she wants and blackmailing the man she wants with his mother's home.

Trusting his Heart (Bad Boys and Good Men Book 1) by Kenna Shaw Reed

This story is about an older couple. Both have experienced loss of a spouse to cancer, they call it the dragon. This story broke my heart in places, because he couldn't see past his pain when he found out he had cancer. This story is well written and the plot is good. I love how the author writes from a rude meeting to develop a friendship over twenty-four hours, then meeting weeks later at a charity event. I liked Bec, she knew what she wanted and what love truly means. The Professor knew what love was but didn't want Bec to suffer. The true suffering began when he shut Bec out of his life.

The Rookie’s Guide to Espionage (Eva Destruction #1.5) by Dave Sinclair

This is actually the first book I've read in this series. I love Eva. She is over the top. She is not James Bond, but she is a lot more fun. This book is action packed from the first page and I saw the bad guy way before Eva did, but then I've read way more spy novels and mysteries than Eva been a spy.

Legend: A Rockstar Romance Kindle Edition by Ellie Danes

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
This book really intrigued me and it held me until the break up. The break up scenes were boring and after a month of them not talking; she goes back to him way too easily. Which is really weird, because he figured after a week a way from her that he was in love with her. So he spend three weeks fixing up his house for a public concert and then invites her. I wouldn't have shown up; he would have had to come to me. The only legend in this story is dead and the rest all players of the aftermath.

Montana Maverick (Bear Grass Springs Book 3) by Ramona Flightner

I loved this story. Jessamine is an independent woman trying to make her way as a reporter. Only she has to learn to do it in a small town, the town fears her big city ways. Ewan becomes the town's most disreputable gentleman, because he goes to the saloon and baudy house at night to bury his grief of his lost love in Scotland. Jessamine is unapproachable at times and like the town people, she goes to far. Ewan is lovable and he understands Jessamine. This is the second book I've read in this series, and each time I've grown to love this small town.

Catching Love: A Wild Boy's Sport Romance by Harper Lauren

This is a newsletter exclusive and I have listened to the first two books of this series. Alex and Rose are introduced as a couple in the first book. The prequel is Alex's and Rose's story. It is a fun story and the chemistry is there from the moment Alex comes back home to Bushnell. They just need to work out why he didn't come back for her and she didn't follow him four years ago. I only have one thing to complain about with this series. Why are they called "Wild Boys"? They are just football players living life and settling down like all men do when they find the "one".

East River Bear: North Peak Shifters by Haley Weir

This book was a little strange and how Avery got the job as caretaker was too weird. The weirdness of it peaked my interest enough to finish the book. The writing isn't that great, but the story is fun and the ending is corny. It's a nice novella to pass the afternoon. This book is only available if you subscribe to the author's newsletter.

Temple of the Jaguar (A Rocky and Bernadette Murder Mystery) (Volume 1) by J M Hudson

This is a well written mystery and takes you on a tour of the Yucatan. I love Bernadette and Rocky. I knew Rocky was a detective, especially when he called the killer "the perp". Only cops use that kind of language. Bernadette is lovable and just slightly crazy or maybe the word is "tenacious". It could be "the sight". I laughed and enjoyed the sights of Yucatan as Bernadette and Rocky navigated their tour and zip-lined their way from being killed.

Vithohn Warriors The Complete Series (Books 1-4) by Stella Sky

I liked how this series was working out until the end. If you want to read what I thought of each book, go each book and find my review or go earthdragonreview.blogspot.com and search the author.

Wild Alien (Vithohn Warriors #4) by Stella Sky

I am glad this is the end of the series. The heroine was brash and Zawara is a traitor to his race. The ending was stupid and I don't know how all the mated Vithohns could even think of living with Zawara. O wait! they didn't, they lived in city by themselves in the end.

A Debutante for the Rancher: A Christian Historical Romance Novel (Colorado Reborn) by Chloe Carley

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book is a great read and even though it could stand alone, you must read about her brother Nate in the first book. Leonie does what her brother wishes her to do and that's to become a lady. The rules in England are too confining for Leonie, but she tries her best not to disappoint her Aunt Edwina and her brother Nate. When Leonie runs back to the ranch, when she hears that Molly is ill, she realizes that her family is the most important thing. Through tragedy and her aunt's manipulations, Leonie sees what matters to her and draws wisdom from a little book of Proverbs. Leonie makes mistakes because she is young and naive, but she learns from them and follows her heart after praying to God about her issues.

Desert Desires by Joanne Dannon

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is 4 different stories centering in Israel. The first two are about a brother and a sister. The last two center around a brother and sister who live in Israel and run a tour guide service. Each story has it's faults and strengths, but each is worth reading. My favorite is the 2nd story about Bea's brother and Tilly the "Naughty Nanny".

First Street Church Romances: Love's Unending Grace (Kindle Worlds Novella) (First Street Church Romances) by Jenna Brandt

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a heartwarming story of grace. A couple held apart by a father's descent into anger, depression and alcohol. These two pray that God will change their father. God does change the father, but it isn't until he almost loses his wife and daughter does he realize what he is doing to his family.

Nate's Destiny (MacLarens of Boundary Mountain #6) by Shirleen Davies

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
First, I want to say I love this cover. It draws you in with the loneliness of the lawman. I loved Nate and Geneen's story, although I thought Nate was a coward when it came to Geneen. A woman who stood with him through it all and then because he thinks he'll never be whole. He runs away. The problem was he needed Geneen to break the mental hold opium had on him. Of course, no one ever explained this to Geneen, because in the 1800's, men thought women couldn't understand these kinds of things. I hate this mentality, and it wasn't true for the West in the 1800's. Author portrayed Geneen as a strong, and independent woman, who knew her mind and heart. Nate did not respect this when he walked away without saying goodbye. The only thing I didn't like was the author never let Nate explain to Geneen, which makes Geneen immature and selfish, which by the rest of the book was not true.

A Rake's Ruin (Devilish Lords #1) by Maggie Dallen

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Even in the most demure of women, there is a little wickedness. I love these books, but I think these heroines have more issues than is warranted. Claire's is do not marry someone who will cheat on her. Question here is, how do you know who will cheat and who will not? Love is a leap of faith, and Nicolas made that leap of faith, but Claire is still stuck at the starting gate. The writing is excellent as always, but the ending was a little more than a debutante would dare.

Lawfully Adored: Inspirational Christian Contemporary (A K-9 Lawkeeper Romance) by Jenna Brandt

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This heartwarming story makes you believe in unconditional love. Aiden and Lindsey have both come out of heart breaking relationships, but Aiden has walked away from God, Lindsay has not. Aiden finds that Lindsey is all he wants in a woman and her faith leads him back to God. The story is well written and you can't help but fall in love with Aiden and Lindsey.

Falling for the Earl (His Majesty's Hounds #12) by Arietta Richmond

This story is heartwarming and gives hope to those in their forties and later that we can find a second chance at love. I love Jane and Nicholas. They found a way to be together with the approval of their children.

Hearts and Ever Afters: Regency Romance Collection by Joyce Alec

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This five book set is a gem. All the stories are wonderful and if you want to read what I thought about each one of them, go to each title, because I have a review there.

Jaider's Desire (Cosmis Warriors Book 1) by Ruby Winter

This is an okay story with a lame world. The lavender colored men live on the surface of the planet while lizard men live on the moon. They are stealing the human women they abduct from earth. I don't know why and I really don't care. If this is love between these two, then can I please slit my throat. Lust and sex is just that and you can't cover it up all syrupy saying in three days they fell in love when all they did was fight and have sex, then he pretends he doesn't want anything to do will here, typical man. They don't change no matter what color they are and what planet you stick them on.

The Duke's Defiant Debutante by Gemma Blackwood

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really enjoyed this book. Duke Redhaven was every bit of his thirty-five years and Angelica is every bit of her eighteen. Angelica really doesn't know about his past, but learns to accept him as himself. This story tends to go off on tangents at points, but always comes back to the story line. I like both main characters and love that Angelica takes the Duke on an adventure, that even he realizes is mostly because of him.

Rescued by an Earl (The Duke's Daughters #3) by Rose Pearson

This book is misnamed, it should be "Rescued from an Earl". The Earl is this book is the villian. I really liked this book and the characters Henry and Jacintha. Of course, I have read the first two books. Jacintha's story is an adventure with a little gothic induced near the end of the book. Her story differs from her sisters and is well worth the read.

Taming Ryock (Star Joined #2) by Sara Page

As for the picture, the description of Ryock is more primate than human. He looks human except he is 8 to 9 feet of gorilla size and hair spacing. I read the first book and enjoyed the story, but this story is so much more fun. It continues the Tribunal world, but it can be read as a standalone. I love Ryock and Isla together. I don't know exactly where the author is going with the series, but I hope Yarrel's story is next. The writing isn't great, but it's fun and great for a few hours to play in space.

The Traitor's Bride (Keepers of Xereill #1) by Alix Nichols

The first ten chapters of the this book is disgusting and made my stomach nauseated, that I had to stop reading. This world is totaling disgusting and everyone's in for the orgy fest, especially the supposedly rich-blood. Except none of them are really rich blood, because they do not have any powers, except little menial Etana. I continued after, but I was not impressed with this world. My suggestion is to forget it.

A Soulmate for the Heartbroken Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Bridget Barton

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is full length novel that took me over the life of Catherine Ambrose and Thomas Carlton. I loved both characters and felt their joy and their heartbreak. I felt the evil of two men who destroyed the lives of their own children. I also saw redemption of a man who saw what his hate had brought the death of his own son. You'll admire Catherine as she struggles disowned from her father and your heart will break as Thomas starts to bend to his father's will. In the end, love will find a way.

Lost on the Road to Love (I Want Morrison #2) by Kay Harris

This is warm and heartfelt book. I fell in love with Chelsea and Henry. The problem with Henry is he is in his own way and he almost misses the chance for happiness. Chelsea knows who she is and what she wants. This is an adventure I am glad I didn't miss.

Shattered Spirits (Dragon Spirit #2) by C.I. Black

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I read the first novel before reading this one. The first one explains the world that C.I. Black has created. This one continues from the first novel and the dragon world is now in chaos. Capri joins with a detective to find out who is beheading dragons and humans. Capri is drawn to Ryan because he looks like his great-great uncle Eric. The passion and chemistry is strong between these two while the world is in chaos. The final conflict of the book is intense and kept me glued to the page.

All Mine by Piper Lennox

This is about two best friends who ruin it all by becoming lovers. At eighteen, Melanie isn't ready to commit and Blake has laid his heart out for the last time. Some of this book made me sick and I wanted to kick Blake in the head for his stupidity. The sex was way out of line at times and didn't have the impact on their relationship that it should have, by the end of the book I was skipping over the sex scenes. The plot and the story line deserved more than the writer gave it.

The English Lieutenant's Lady (Oregon Territory Romance) by Evelyn M. Hill

This story seem to take on a life of it's own as the story progresses. I love Lia and Geoff and their love was real and genuine for each other. Geoff failed me in the end, because he seem to have a rich Christian background, but seemed to have lost all of it by the end of the book. All the town characters reflected the charm and values of the time period, and even some of the prejudices of the times against Indians. I actually felt as if I was back in 1845 waiting to see the Americans and the British get into it over territory again. Although the story said that Lia lost herself in that town, I feel she just grew up as she taught those children. It doesn't matter what clothes we wear, or what society we are in, if we are ourselves. Lia was always herself, she doesn't tell the whole world her mother was half Cree. It didn't change who Lia was only how other people looked at her. This story has a great heart and that heart is Lia.
