I understand the whole thing about keeping his bride away from her brother, but he never explained it to her. She tried to explain her brother's problems, but the Duke would not listen to her. This is typical of males who always think they are right. Once the Duke decided to make peace with his bride, because he was falling in love with her and he wanted heirs, he actually started listening to her concerns about her brother. This story is short and I am appreciative of that fact. I couldn't see this going on for 80,000 words. It's not the author's best, but it was okay for a short story.
