I love the characters and Noah is no exception. He has a lot to deal with being the youngest of his brothers. When he makes a mistake, no one lets him forget it, or that he arrested the new high school teacher. The author worked the online personality against how they felt about each other in person. It's Noah she calls when her past catches up with her and it's Noah she relies on to protect her. The heart of the man wars with Audree against the cop who mistakenly arrested her. Love knows a true and noble heart.

Arresting Her Heart by Jenna Brandt
The Substitute Heiress (The Ashcombe Heiresses #1) by Juliane Karlis
Due to mistaken identity, the lady's maid, Anna, is believed to be the Ashcombe heiress. Anna takes advantage of the fact, because of the pampering that she receives. All things will come to an end when we practice to deceive. It also could lose Anna her heart. This story is troubling, because Anna keeps justifying the deceit, In the end, she does the right thing, but only because she doesn't want to lose Brent. Selfishness in any form is not pretty, and couple it with lies is even worse. The fact that Brent in the end overlooks and justifies her perfidy makes me question the morals of both of our main characters.

The Carpenter’s Mail Order Dilemma by Karla Gracey
Talk about not seeing what is in front of your face. A woman who won't speak of her love to her friend, and a man who keeps looking for love, because he doesn't see love in his friend's eyes. These two are worthless when it comes to their emotions. Geoffrey is about to make the biggest mistake of his life until he realizes that he is jealous of Jeannie moving on with her life, because Jeannie decided to try to move on when Geoffrey sent out for a mail order bride. The dilemma is fraught with mixed emotions, a fickle and selfish woman, and an extremely jealous baker. All which have every right to feel the way that they do.
The Design of Dukes (The Beautiful Barringtons #2) by Kathleen Ayers
The banter and the tension between our couple is intense. The author manages to take this relationship from the physical to the emotional while keeping the tension between these two. It's about how couples change each other and open their eyes to behaviors that shut our eyes to the truth. What the Duke opens himself up to so that he can be with Andromeda is what love is all about. It's about accepting all of a person and just not the things that you like about them.

A Duke's Lustful Christmas: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Lucy Langton
This tale is kind of romantic, other than the "Demon Duke" hating Christmas, and instead finds love. It's sort of a Christmas Carol with the ghost of the past in the Duke's heart. Abigail is a spirited woman and really gives the Duke a run for his heart. This story has some serious society etiquette blunders, but it's excused because of the Duke being somewhat of a recluse. In the end, it's a fun read.
Dazzled by a Devilish Duke: A Historical Regency Romance Book by Lucy Langton
This story is well written and the characters well developed. The whole story is immoral. Although there has never been anything more than friendship between Maxwell and Patience. The Duke wants Patience, but bounces between being with her and his friendship to Maxwell. The story gets pretty ugly, but the worse thing is the author tries to fix it after the fact. It gets even uglier from there. All in all, two wrongs don't make anything right.

An Unexpected Proposal by Annette Lyon
This is supposed to be a romantic story and is touted as such. It felt like to me a woman who didn't know her own mind, and a man who loved the wrong woman. I felt sorry for our hero, but our heroine whose eyes I was supposed to be seeing through. I disliked with real intensity. No woman should treat a man that way then go beg at his feet. She made her decision and should lie in the bed she made. Our hero is the kind loving soul he always has been from the beginning of the story.

Once Upon a Murder (Scary Tales Book 2) by Danielle Norman
This quirky mystery is filled with quirky people in a quirky little town. Our heroine is the outsider, and living with her quirky grandmother above their bookstore. Our victim is a womanizer, and engaged to almost every single woman in town. The story is witty and humorous. Although Paige is not much of a detective, and more dainty than able to handle a murderer, but she seems to be able to come upon the murderer. It's a good thing her boyfriend is a cop.

This gives Mylas his first case. Mylas has to dodge reporters to solve this case. As his faith grows in God, his friends recognize that he is not the same self-centered man. This case is going to make Mylas rethink how he investigates his cases. Steve Twitchell continues to bring the personality of Mylas to life, and engage the reader in his investigations to their heart-stopping conclusions.
Two Days Taken Mylas Grey Mysteries, Book 2 By: Luana Ehrlich Narrated by: Steve Twitchell
The narrator, Steve Twitchell, does an excellent job of engaging the personality of Mylas Grey. Mylas has Whitney coming to DC but Senator Allen want him to a favor for another Senator and it only should take two days. Two days til Whitney gets to Washington. Mylas makes a lot of mistakes in this story, but the one thing that keeps him alive is his newfound faith in God. This story is action-packed and full of unexpected twists, and for heart-stopping minutes everything is on the line.
Finding Home (Harris Twins Book #2) by Isla Ryder
AJ is happy the ranch is financially stable, but with his brother and Sydney happiness, he's feeling like something is missing. Lilyanna is losing her job and she helps Mr. Heward sell the last of his horses. This story is love at first sight, only they don't know it. Also AJ is so awkward and quite endearing. Lilyanna is patient and loving, and it shows in her care of animals. These two are perfect for each other, and the story is enchanting. I wish all couples would be as open with each other as these two are together.
Twin Springs Ranch (Harris Twins book #1) by Isla Ryder
This romance is very emotional and the developing relationship between Sydney and Braxton is abrasive due to Sydney believing Braxton wanted to sell the ranch. Their romance grows as they learn who each other. The story is touches many fears we have in this life, and the hard choices we think we have to make. Sometimes, thinking outside the box, brings changes that can help us grow and make our life more meaningful and happier. This story embraces a broken family, and a hope that brings two brothers back together.
One Day Gone Mylas Grey Mystery Series, Book 1 By: Luana Ehrlich Narrated by: Steve Twitchell
This is a great start to a new series. Mylas Grey is bright and engaging character. He is a federal Investigator for a Senator Davis in Washington, DC. The Senator sends him on a private investigation when his daughter goes missing. This sends him back to hometown in Columbia, Missouri, where his family still lives. There he meets Wendy, who offers to help him in his investigation, and he questions why he rejected Christianity. The investigation is frustrating, but when Mylas stumbles upon the truth, the climax is very intense. Narrator Steve Twitchell is engaging and charming in the role of Mylas Grey. This is series not to be missed.

The Songbird (Wings of the West #6) by Kristy McCaffrey
This story is a good story with a well written plot-line. If you haven't read the other books, than this story is a big downfall, because trying to figure out everyone in this book is impossible unless you read the other books. This story contains all the characters from the other books. All the characters are lovable, it's just that there are too many of them in such a short story.

Fire Maidens: Switzerland Billionaires & Bodyguards, Book 9 By: Anna Lowe Narrated by: Kelsey Osborne
I thoroughly enjoyed the last book in this series. It was action-packed and I got a secret joy watching the destruction of the final enemy of the Fire Maidens. I know I should be compassionate, but I lost my compassion when she got away from them in Greece. Claudia and Heath are a great mix and I liked that fact that Heath didn't dwell long on his past pain and moved on with Claudia. This was a great ending to a great series. Lastly, kudos to Kelsey Osborne for narrating each book with spunk and creativity.

A Blind Bride for the Lonely Cowboy: A Historical Western Romance Book by Cassidy Hanton
This is an interesting story and the plot line was an excellent idea. Unfortunately, the story failed in a few areas. The man is scarred enough the ladies in town don't want him, and he orders a mail order bride that happens to be partially blind. She can see shadow and light and make out some shapes. Rose tries to prove her worth on the ranch, but Mark is impatient with her. What he fails to see is that Rose wants to be his wife and is doing everything to try and be his wife, even with her disability. It's greatest failure is the relationship between Mark and Rose. Mark never showed enough interest in her to actually fall in love with her. Two, he was disappointed in finding out she was blind and should have been overjoyed that she would never really see his disfigurement. She wouldn't care about that as long as she felt loved and cared for. This is another area the story failed. I had great expectations for this story because it addresses an issue of blindness and didn't really follow through.

A Love Brighter than Light: A Historical Western Romance Book by Leslie Hales
It seems everyone is unhappy in this story. Carrie is unhappy moving to Texas with her father after the death of her mother. Her father tries to destroy his daughter's happiness with lies and deceit. Her uncle is unhappy because he had a fallout with his brother. Finley is unhappy because his mother was accused of stealing. Basically, all this unhappiness is the result of Carrie's father grief and greed. Finley and Carrie realize they have to escape to get to the truth and find out if they can marry. When Carrie goes to see her uncle, the truth about her father is given. This story is about Carrie finding her way to the love she has for Finlay, and being strong in the face of doubt and deceit. It's a good read, but I think the characters needed more work.
Dead for Good (Dead for Good #1) by Stacy Claflin
This story has all the action necessary for a good mystery. The characters are quirky enough for a cozy mystery, but our main character is a man, called Brad who happens to be an assassin. The story can be done as a stand alone if you don't read the last chapter, and I would have preferred that than to be left in a cliffhanger. I hate cliffhangers. I would have read book two without it, so I could continue with the family adventures of an assassin.

The Way the Wallflower Wed (The Wallflower Wins #1) by Eva Devon
This is a great and funny tale of a bluestocking taking charge of her own life, rather than allowing her father to dictate her future. After meeting her father in the story, I get that because he only cares about himself and how he appears to the ton. Marcus is an earl doing his own thing and not caring what the ton considers appropriate. He hires Pippa because she is brilliant and an excellent assistant. These two find a fire between them that burns greater than the sands of Egypt, and a love that will top the pyramids.
