This story in its own way is heartbreaking. A young man returns home to help his mom sell the family business after his father passes away. He returns home to see if the woman he threw away will give him a second chance. The story works through Ren's grief and Zara's heartbreak, but doesn't really touch the depth of Ren's anger, grief and regret that he would have had. The characters are wonderful and the story gives a view of what happens when we let go of the past and forgive. It brings a much brighter future.

Believe In Me (Paradise Place Book 7) by Natalie Ann
This story is about a woman with trust issues and a man who is an overachiever who has to make certain changes to his lifestyle. In order for Caden to make his first real relationship work, he is going to have to open up to Sarah. Sarah is going to have to learn to trust Caden. These two have chemistry and their personalities mesh well together. The story is fun and their families are over the top in meddling. It's the constant butting of heads that makes this story a little difficult, because they are constantly taking words out of context.

Rhapsody and Rebellion (Once Upon A Widow Book 3) by Aubrey Wynne
This is an enchanting story of a legacy found and new love. It has the action and the adventure of the Highlands, and the sedateness of the English countryside. Alisabeth finds love after her husband was brutally murdered during a political rally to a cousin who was born south of the border. The Earl of Stenford goes to the Highlands at his mother's request and falls for the beautiful widow, Alisabeth. There is an intrigue that causes Alisabeth to have to leave the Highlands. It's a heartwarming story doing political unrest that made me smile.

Price of a Rose: A Beauty & Beast Tale (Historical Fantasy Fairytale Retellings Book 2) by Byrd Nash
This is a strange tale of fae, magic and curses. It's set in the regency times, but it is more whimsical and light-hearted than most Beauty and Beast tales. Our grumpy and rude beast is a Lord of the Realm who has been cursed by a fairy queen. Three sisters come to take care of the Beast's house, gardens and library. It is Rose the sister taking care of the garden who has the key to the curse. I laughed and smiled as these sisters took over the Beast's estate. It's true love can conquer magic.

If I Can't Have You (The Thorntons Book 3) by Iris Morland
This is a modern day beauty and the beast, except the beauty and beast is Mark Thornton. Abby is a nurse at the local hospital whose mom sets her up on disastrous blind dates. She's got an ex trying to get her back and Mark has so many walls that Abby decides she can't climb. These two embark on a physical relationship because of those walls. It takes Mark to realize he loves her to bring his own walls down. The only thing about this story is what happened to Derek? The author never says. It's a good story with an exciting climax. Unfortunately, the epilogue falls short because Derek is never mentioned after the climax.

A Song of Secrets : A Spirited Spinsters Sweet Regency Romance Novel by Robyn Chalmers
La Luminosa is a star opera singer, but Sarah is a woman who needs a marriage to secure her secrets. The good vicar is trying to protect his brother from the siren, but when he is trapped in the snow in a cottage as all of Sarah's secrets come out. This story is heartfelt and makes me sad for our opera singer. She doesn't even know the truth of what is taking place, including the good vicar's three holy terrors. It's a story that makes you think that God has a sense of humor, and He truly cares about the worst of us. He brings a Vicar who has lost his wife with three small children together with an opera singer who has fallen from grace, and disgraced her family. The kicker is how God rights the wrong done to Sarah and the miscarriage of justice her family has purported.

The Earl of Sunderland: Wicked Earls' Club (Once Upon A Widow Book 1) by Aubrey Wynne
The Earl of Sunderland is a twin, the second twin. After turning in his commission when his brother dies. Christopher returns home to take over the earldom. He has to wait for his brother's wife to give birth, and meets Lady Grace. She is a welcome distraction between waiting to see if he is the new Earl or he can return to service. The characters are wonderful and there is enough gentry to drive our hero and heroine to distraction. It' a good love story, with a ton of possibilities.

The Colonel and The Enchantress (The Enchantresses Book 4) by Paullett Golden
This is a lovely story and Lady Mary Mowbrah reaches the reader's heart. She stuck by Colonel Starret for over six years. The major fault of our hero is his "woe is me" attitude. If a six year old boy or Mary hadn't reasoned him into getting out of bed and physically working to get better, he'd still be lying there feeling sorry for himself. It's only when Mary gets him to admit what his attitude towards her family is doing to their relationship, can he rise to the Colonel and man that Mary knows him to be. This is a story of overcoming injury and disability. It's also learning to accept your worth, instead of trying to prove it.

Five Days Lost Mylas Grey Mysteries, Book 5 By: Luana Ehrlich Narrated by: Steve Twitchell
This is another great suspense story in the Mylas Grey series. It exposes a horrible event in Senator Alan Davis's life, but she also shows us the kind of man that is Senator Davis. Mylas has the challenge of keeping the situation on the down low while being followed by a PI. He also has Wendy visiting while all of this is going on. I give kudos to the narrator Steve Twitchell whose voice gives all the characters their depth and emotion in this story. The moral of this story is all will be answered when you give it over to God.

Small Town Start: A Sweet K9 Handler RomCom (Hero Search and Rescue Book 1) by Jenna Brandt
This is a very funny and delightful story. Then again, any story with a monkey pet is funny. The new deputy in town is trying to get a search and rescue school together, and the lawyer from Chicago is renovating a house into a B&B. It seems it is one disaster after another that keeps calling Danny to Jenesa's house. If it isn't the cranky neighbor, it's the monkey escaping or the house's secrets. Anyway, I was in for a good time and a few chuckles.

Scandal Meets Its Match (The May Flowers #7) by Merry Farmer
This story flaunts every English propriety in Victorian Times. This is set at the end of the 1800's with trains and the trans-Atlantic telegraph. It's a lot of whimsy and a lot of fun. Lenore is smart and always has great comebacks. Phineas is a hedonist and publishes the most wicked magazine in England. This pair must outwit and outrun a wanted murderer and a grand dame intent on discovering who writes "The Nocturne". There are a series of surprises and twists, while the whole crew left me laughing. The story is well written and is pure whimsy, even with the seriousness of Bart Swan from Wyoming.
Special Agent Walker by Mimi Barbour
One FBI Profiler follows her instincts when she spots a boy acting suspiciously and Agent Walker spots a woman following a boy and follows her when a school shooting occurs. Both agents take down the shooters. Later, both agents are drawn in when a second shooting occurs the next day. The chemistry between the two agents is profound and they work together well. Agent Walker has some secrets of his own, but it's nothing that Lori Page cannot handle. What amazes me about this story is how this psychopath manipulated teenage kids to do such horrible things. The worst is who and what this Ray person is actually capable of doing.
Cold Evidence by Rachel Grant
What starts out as a simple accident turns into a terrorist plan for vengeance on the United States. An Ex-Seal and a Navy archaeologist take on the diving to find why a submarine that sunk back in 1962 is on another country's radar. These two are reunited after a major fall-out 8 years ago, but in this story the Pacific Northwest is about to get hotter than these two. This story is intriguing and just when you think the story is done, the real action begins. Page-turning from the first dive to the last, I was hanging in mid-air by the time this story reached it's conclusion.
Unforgettable: An Amnesia Romance Kindle Edition by Sosie Frost
This story is unusual and hilarious. Evie takes life as it comes even as an amnesiac. Detective Shephard Novak is the man behind it all. Even as Evie regains her memory Shepard stands his ground and is ready to face the music when Evie's memories return. I got the first notion who Shephard was in Evie's past life when he knew she was allergic to shellfish, that's not something someone just knows. It's also not right that the hospital didn't give her full name, because that would have helped get her memories after the brain trauma healed. Although, these little details would have made more sense, the story by itself is funny, cheeky and crazy inside the head of Evie, and the joy of parenting blind to baby Clue.
