This story flaunts every English propriety in Victorian Times. This is set at the end of the 1800's with trains and the trans-Atlantic telegraph. It's a lot of whimsy and a lot of fun. Lenore is smart and always has great comebacks. Phineas is a hedonist and publishes the most wicked magazine in England. This pair must outwit and outrun a wanted murderer and a grand dame intent on discovering who writes "The Nocturne". There are a series of surprises and twists, while the whole crew left me laughing. The story is well written and is pure whimsy, even with the seriousness of Bart Swan from Wyoming.
