Typical suspense novelette that girl does something to upset the bad guys and her protector is an ex-boyfriend. I felt the bad guys were a little overwhelming in the fact that they know how to find people, but are too stupid to secure there own property with a kidnapped victim. It's okay for a quick read. Hope the series this prequels has deeper connections.
