The Duke's Reluctant Bride (Chase Family #4) by Lauren Royal, Devon Royal

This is a very humorous Regency romance, and compelling a man to marry a woman for a kiss is just insane.  Trick and Kendra both put up and try to smooth things over, while Trick hides he working for King and Country.

Lord of the Bears (Wild Ridge Bears #1) by Kimber White

I know I shouldn't remark on the covers, but does he really look like a man living in the woods? I liked this story, and the world Kimber White has created. I almost felt the connection between these two. The climax wasn't as intense as I expected, but the characters are intriguing.

The Headstrong Bride by Christian Michael

This is a Valentine's Day special, and you cannot find it on any bookstore website.

Samantha hates everything about her parents, and is forced into an arranged marriage. She tells her husband she will not fall in love with him, and they set a trial period. She longs for her freedom, but finds herself falling in love with her husband. I liked the story, but I did not like Samantha, until she started to see that her life was hate filled.

A Beauty for the Scarred Duke by Bridget Barton

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved this story. It is deeply emotional and at times you feel the duke's pain. The author takes you inside the minds of Isabella and Elliot, letting you experience what they are thinking and feeling. The writing is excellent and the climax is tense. Love is all more the beautiful when we stop thinking about ourselves, but the other person.

The Irresistible Connection:A Billionaire Bad Boy Second Chance Mystery Romance by Alexa McLean

The only thing irresistible about this book is reading it. This story is haphazardly put together and plot blows up about three-quarters the way through. The main character are okay, but every other character is stereotypical. The only reason I finished reading was I signed up on Booksprout to review it.

Highlander's Love in Captivity: A Scottish Historical Romance Novel by Lydia Kendall

I loved this story. It is about a woman who seeks to find a husband who loves her, not someone her uncle and father deem suitable. Jane is captured by a highlander who seeks revenge on her Uncle. Jane finds a freedom in Scotland making her wanting to never return to England. Bhaltair, her abductor, finds everything he wants in Jane, but is troubled his clan won't accept her, and that her uncle is their enemy. This story is well-written and emotionally deep at several points in the story. Each character has a life of their own and despite their contribution to the story, each is memorable.

Healing Love: Sweet Romance Shady Piers Clean Romance Series by Alicia Best

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a very short story and only deals with how they get together; then advances to their relationship two years later. I wish there was more to the story. I kind of felt a little cheated, because as I was getting into the story; I was starting the epilogue. The story is well-written but as I said the climax comes up fast.

The Viscount's Secret: Regency Romance (Secrets of London) by Joyce Alec

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved this story. The heroine is a woman who knows what she wants and even when her brother throws her to the streets she finds a way to survive. Lord Patton is a second son and he is very timid, but his new friend, Lord Fernley insists that Oliver was murdered. Lord Fernley is a kick. He is rambunctious, overbearing and extremely excitable. His mouth runs off at the wrong places and times. He is probably the best character in this story. It is Lady Hannah that brings Lord Patton out of his shell, and she pushes him to reveal his feelings so that she is not wondering if she has a chance with him.

An Earl's Deception by Joyce Alec

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is another court the sister to get the diamond with the sister's permission. Of course, he sees that the sister has substance and his original object just wants the attention. This plot is the overlaying plot of the sister's suitor, Lord Hobart, who is the real mystery. I loved this story, because I feel the gentleman has his eyes opened to what real and true love really is.

The Duke's Cautious Governess: A Clean & Sweet Regency Historical Romance Book by Fanny Finch

I really had to dredge through this story. The heroine is so into self pity that I had to stop and gag a few times, because any one that thinks they are that worthless because of their mother ought to be slapped in the head every time she uttered lowly, tarnished and worthless. The whole story drones on this way and it is very tedious. I am only reviewing this ARC because I usually like Fanny Finch's work. She should have kept this one in her head.

Waiting on the Billionaire : A Clean Billionaire Romance by Jenna Brandt

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Personally, I thought this was going to be a one way romance. Like Lana, I wouldn't want to fit into a world where you are based off of what you do and wear. I am glad Lana did not sacrifice her values for Bryce, because she would have ended up in the long run unhappy. Bryce had to accept Lana and her values. He had to come off the perch he was sitting on if he wanted a true chance at happiness. I liked this story because our heroine stuck to her values and didn't let Bryce push her into something that she wasn't.

I liked the audio version, the narrator portrayed the emotions of the characters and expressed each one with the right strength. The male voices need a little work, but low soprano voice of the reader probably doesn't reach to the needed depth.

Prophecy Fulfilled (Prime Prophecy #3) by Tamar Sloan

I didn't read the first two, but you don't need to. I learned everything about the first two stories to make this one enjoyable. Besides, it seems I read the right one, because this story has closure. The author brings her characters and her world to life. The main characters are lovable and maybe a little naive. It makes what they have to do all the more challenging. I didn't think I would like this book, but I was pleasantly surprised.

House of Catesby (Historical Regency Romance Collection 1): The First Three Novels by Sunny Brooks

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
It seems I only reviewed one of these books before on Goodreads.

Lady Emily's Escape

Lady Emily is married to a monster and her brothers sends her friend to rescue her. I feel that Lady Emily is strong, but is on the verge of completely submitting to her abusive husband. I feel falling in love with Lord Markham is wrong, and it is just a transfer of affections to someone who cares about her. The flight from her husband was exciting especially for a short story.

Charles and the Intruder

Who falls in love with a woman that lives in your empty house? Timid Charles does then he tries to save her. I laughed over the inanity of this plot. I did enjoy the light hearted way.

The Mysterious Lord Livingstone

This story was very good. At first it started out as if Helen was a very timid woman but soon shows some backbone once she has an idea what Richard's feelings are about her. I understand she didn't want to pursue someone who feelings weren't engaged.

Fortune's Son (The Tasmanian Tales #1) by Jennifer Scoullar

I don't know what to feel or how I should feel about this book. In so many ways, this book is morally wrong. Neither main male character is morally good. Both do what they think they have to, to get the girl. No one considers her feelings, only what is best for her and leaving her unhappy. It is a tale of tragedy and the lack of our compassion as human beings. The author tried to write a happy ending, but failed miserably. The story is well written, and will touch your emotions on many levels. I just did not like it.

Cosmic Warriors: The Complete Series (Cosmic Warriors #1-3) by Ruby Winter

Here are the reviews to each separate book. Darka's Craving I read in the series and not the actual book.

Jaider's Desire

This is an okay story with a lame world. The lavender colored men live on the surface of the planet while lizard men live on the moon. They are stealing the human women they abduct from earth. I don't know why and I really don't care. If this is love between these two, then can I please slit my throat. Lust and sex is just that and you can't cover it up all syrupy saying in three days they fell in love when all they did was fight and have sex, then he pretends he doesn't want anything to do will here, typical man. They don't change no matter what color they are and what planet you stick them on.

Axon's Lust

This story is better than the last one. The alien actually develops a relationship with Jennifer, but accidentally abducts her when he takes her in his ship to protect her, but his commander retreats from the battle and heads for home. Axon is likeable and Jennifer is weird. She's the only female working as a data analyst. She has one friend and her ex-boyfriend was only good for sex. I'd never want to return to earth either, if was offered the choice.

Darka's Craving

This one has a good story, but Mila is so conflicting she takes away from the actual story. Darka is arrogant and his charm is overbearing. Personally, I was conflicted and disliked the story all together.

Tales of a Duchess: A Sweet Regency Collection of Short Stories by Elizabeth Taylor-White (

Some of the worst love stories put together. Some made absolutely no sense and made me think “Is this love?” How would a woman fall for the stupid things these males did or acted like. No there is more to hate about these stories than like.

To Love a Bear (Lumberjack Bears Book 1) by Emilia Hartley

This is good beginning to a series. Teddy Bear is lovable and Emmy is charming. Her problems follow her to the mountain, but the guys take care of that issue. Emilia Hartley easily set up their world and is fully understandable. The story does set up an issue for the rest of the series and looking forward to the next book.

One Last Time: A Billionaire Romance (The Ironwood Billionaire Series Book 4) by Ellie Danes

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I liked this story. I don't know if I'm down with the Vivian scene, but Ellie Danes seemed to pull it off. The characters are likeable and Declan is everything a woman wants.

Love's Witness (First Street Church Romances) by Ava Mallory

I liked this story, but I felt the author shorted this story. This story is a comedy of errors and mishaps. It's truly funny, but it focuses more on the events than the characters. I feel I missed a good sense of who Miranda and Raul truly are.

Love's Light by Raine English

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved this story about a self-sacrificing woman. Gog brings a man into her life that will help her fulfill all her dreams and help with her family also. Axel Scott is a man worth knowing, and likes the simple life, even though his songwriting is bringing him fame. Serenity is the woman who lights his fire, and brings him the simplicity and the life he envisioned for himself.

All I Want Is You (Love Everlasting) (The Youngers Book 3) by Iris Morland

I loved this story. It had a lot of questionable ethical views for lawyers, but Emily was never the client, just the sister of the client. Phin is lovable and Emily is a woman who needs to help her brother. The two have immediate chemistry, although Phin tries to keep it professional. He doesn't succeed, especially when he gets lost in Emily's eyes. This story tells us to grab love when it is offered.

A Mysterious Governess for the Reluctant Earl by Abby Ayles

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was intrigued by this story. The author kept our heroine a mystery while we learned all the Earl's secrets. Sebastion is an unreasonable man because he is tired of governesses running off to get married. Hannah is hoping for a position where she isn't stalked by a man. Even, in the Earl's house there are predators, and the footman stalks Hannah at all hours of the night. The thing I hate the most is Hannah breaking the Earl's rules. I know she thinks this is best for the girls, but surely it would all come to light and she would be out of a job. All's well that ends well, and this story is well-written because the Earl is smitten.

Because the Earl Loved Me (Happily Ever After #6) by Ellie St. Clair

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Talk about one selfish girl, Anne was so spoiled and only thought of herself, that she runs off to the theater after rejecting Christopher whom she is clearly attracted. Thank God, men do not think with their heads, because if Christopher had he would have been running the other way. Anne is a disaster waiting to happen with the dreams for theater, when she is nobleman's daughter. This story is well-written and I agree with the author; there is only so much a man can stand. Someone needs to grow up and it is not Christopher.

Sweet River Everlasting Love: 20 Book Sweet and Inspiring Romance Collection by Annie Boone (Goodreads Author), Kelly Anne Bruce , Joy Witt , Hayley Wescott , Sweet River Publishing

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This a twenty book collection of sweet romances. I enjoyed all but the Amish romances, but I have a certain bigotry against stories about the Amish, not the Amish themselves. These stories are best taken one at a time and I wish I had done that instead of reading strait through. I would have enjoyed them more.

Diaries of a Heartbroken Duchess: A Historical Regency Romance Collection by Hanna Hamilton

I'm going to be honest; the only book in this series I haven't read is "The Governess Who Stole My Heart". The other two books I have already read and will copy my reviews here.

The Governess Who Stole My Heart

I loved this story. Although I feel that Susan walks around confused most of her life. She fights feeling for two men, and I thank God that life took that choice out of her hands, or we would still be waiting for her decision. John is a heartbroken Duke, and he grieves a little to long for his wife Annabel, but Aunt Clarissa has a plan. Personally, I love Aunt Clarissa. She is quiet with a devious mind. Gotta love her! Daniel is a Captain of a ship and spends long periods at sea while courting Susan. He is a good man and is willing to court giving it up for Susan. There are no real bad guys in this story, but real life people wanting to love each other. There are two other minor characters who give a real flair to this story and that is Simon and Fiona.

A Charming Calvaryman for Clementine

This book is a full length novel with very detailed events. This includes dresses, houses, and the battles that take place in Crimea. I found the illustrated pictures interesting and only took me a moment to realize how they related to the story. Both main characters are charming and lovable.  This is a story that will stay with you, and make you route for Stirling and Clementine.

Diana Adores the Puzzled Earl

This story represents how real relationships start. It starts out with friendship and an attraction that simmers and boils before either party decides to act upon it. I loved the idea of the business partnership and how her fiancée used the loan to get her to agree to a marriage. It set conflict on both sides of the relationship, with the Earl's sister badgering him to accept the Viscount's offer, so she could snag a husband at 38 years of age.

Love's Journey: Sweet Grove Beginnings (Sweet Grove Historical Book 1) by Emily Murdoch

I love Elizabeth and Jonathan. Jonathan comes off rough, but he's been hurt by his family, and is taking care of his sister who has been traumatized. Elizabeth is a very strong woman who has to be that way, because the only family member she has is missing. Through prayer and understanding, these two spark under the Texas sun in their apple orchard.

Fairplay Shifters Prequel by Serena Meadows

I received this book from Serena Meadows newsletter. It can only be obtained by subscribing to her newsletter.

This books is centered in a town called Fairplay. A group of shifters live here. Justin's father sends him off to college and he meets Beth. They date and fall in love with each other. Even when she finds out that Justin is a shifter she continues to love him.

Beth used to be sick and is now recovered, but you won't know that by the way her mother treats her. Beth went to college to get away from her mother and is paying for college herself, because her family doesn't support her decision. They also don't want her marrying some rancher cowboy.

This is a fun story and a backdrop for the other shifters of Fairplay, hence the name Fairplay. If I could rate it on Amazon or Goodreads, it would be 4 stars.

The Reluctant Debutante (Chronicles of the Hudson River Valley #1) by Jean Jacobsen

I loved this story about a young woman struggling to keep her home. How romance comes to the young woman unawares, and Nicolas is to teach her dancing for her debut in New York Society. The two take up a friendship and Nicolas can't keep his lips off her when he is dancing with her.

ROMANTIC TAKEOVER: Baby Matchmaker by Rose Chapman

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a cute story about two people who have always had feelings for each other, but one baby forces them to be together. I liked the story, and it is a short novella. The baby forces these two to realize and talk about their feeling for each other, and discover they are in love with each other.

Ayden (Wild Men #3) by Melissa Belle

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I loved this story about two best friends becoming more. The fear and rejection that could happen, and never having that person in your life again is all discussed. Sometimes, the best romances are those where you are friends first and Belle and Ayden had moved their relationship further but both had refused to accept. I enjoyed this story and it is well-written.

Falling for the Heartbroken Duke by Bridget Barton

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I enjoyed this story. It starts out slow but quickly picks up the pace as the lies, deceit and suspense build. You'll love Robert and Phoebe and feel anger for what is being done to them. This story is well worth the read.

Lawfully Wedded: Inspirational Christian Contemporary (A K-9 Lawkeeper Romance) by Jenna Brandt

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This is a wonderful story about two people with their hearts wide open. They fall in love with each other, and accept each other for who they are. They also have room in their hearts for a young boy. Between the excitement of Aiden being a cop and Lindsay's job as a social worker, these two have their hands full and lots of love to give and share.

Attracting the Spymaster (His Majesty's Hounds Book 15) by Arrieta Richmond

I am a beta reader for this book. I did not find any spelling or grammatical errors. Everything is inline and syncs with the other books in the series.

What I love about this book is the mature relationship between these two characters. Both characters are mature in their late thirties and early forties. They approach this relationship from a friendship with a view to maybe there being more. Although, this relationship doesn't have the passion that is found with younger characters. Their passion is a slow build with knowing where they want to take their growing friendship and growing attraction. This the story builds to a heart pounding climax with both realizing the depth of their feelings.

What do I hate about this book? The conclusion, the fate of the villains is left up in the air and we don't know if any of these families will be destroyed by these young men's treason.

Guarding Grace (Gold Coast Retrievers Book 3) by Ann Omasta

This is an adorable and wonderful story about Grace and Clover who adopt a Golden Retriever named Star. Star becomes a local TV host and this leads to chaos, and love. I loved hating Dash Diamond, until I got to know the man under the ego. It was hard not to fall in love with Star and all her antics.

Her Enchanted Alpha Match (Matchmaker #4) by Emilia Hartley

I've really enjoyed this series, and I think this is the best one of the bunch, because it is about our matchmaker, Nessa. Our hero is an Alpha Bear, but he has been hanging out with a witch who wants Caz and his pack. Our little feline, Nessa realizes that Caz is her mate and deigns to save Caz and his pack. I love watching the relationship between these two. Caz is not the fighter that we expect, but more the sacrificial type of male. Thankfully, Nessa is a fighter and we see a kitty cat take down a bear.

Wed to a Billionaire by Riley Chance

This book cannot be found on any of the bookstores. I happen to have a subscription to Sweet Romance Reads and was offered a chance to read the book for free.

This story is about Amber LaFayette, who poses as an heiress to get an interview with billionaire play-boy, Alexander Winchester paid for by the magazine who wants the dish. Amber finds herself falling in love with Alexander and no longer can in good conscious continue the charade. I was really getting into the story until the twist at the end and then I just felt cheated and all my good feelings for Alexander fell away. I won't give away the end, but as far as I am concerned Amber sold herself away by staying with Alexander.

Super Daisy (Teen Queens #1) by Jennifer Griffith

This is one messed up girl, but Daisy is adorable. You can't help but laugh through all her misfortunes with her powers. Fortunately for Daisy, there is one guy in her town that sees Daisy, Cliff Calloway. Fortunately for Daisy, he the guy that has captured her heart. This is a light-hearted tale with some laughs with misfortune, but it made me remember that most times, the good out weighs the bad.

One Last Mistake: A Billionaire Romance (The Ironwood Billionaire Series Book 3) by Ellie Danes

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A celebratory night with her girlfriend ends up as a one night stand with a very hot guy, little does Meridith know that she slept with her new bosses son. Each decides to be grown up about it and work together. Although, there are bumps in the road, Kyle and Meridith come to the conclusion that there is more to this relationship. Between all the drama with the company and Kyle's father, I love these characters and their chemistry is explosive at times. The story is well-written and comes nicely to its wonderful conclusion.

Heart of Crystal: Book One: Trust Me by Obelia Akanke

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
I felt this story did not carry the passion or emotional impact that the abuse that Crystal experienced was ever truly expressed. I felt I was just one of the students on campus watching Crystal interact with others. The developing friendship and romance with Mario was the interesting part of the story, and I felt that I came in at the back end of this story, because it seem we are just reading about the aftermath with no real emotional connection.

Letters to Lincoln by Tracie Podger

This is an amazing story of how the friendship of a stranger can help you work through grief. With the support of her Dad, a builder and a priest, Dani works her way through her unbearable grief and guilt. She learns that things are not always as they seem and it is possible to love again. This story reaches to the heart and emotionally impacted me.

The Lord's Elopement (A Rogue's Courtship Book 2) Kindle Edition by Madeline St.James

This story takes an unusual situation and makes it worse. A father who cannot deal with his daughter, arranges a marriage to a man 40 years her senior. He has a horrible reputation in the ton and Catherine gains employment so she can disappear just before the marriage date. The Baron sends his son to represent him and escort Catherine back to his estate. The two happened to have been childhood friends and decide to elope. This story set strangely with me as how Catherine actually went out and found a job. She truly was an outcast of society, but that wasn't going to stop Catherine from making her own happiness. The hero of this story is almost secondary, until he steps in and elopes with her. I didn't really learn anything about his personality until the climax and conclusion of the story.

Love Letters to a Lady: A Historical Regency Clean Sweet Romance Novel by Fanny Finch

This is a delightful farce of a story. Both main characters are delightful and the misunderstanding between them is amusing. What is not amusing is that Julia Weston never looks beyond herself and is blind to every man who has ever courted her. It appears Mr. Norwich knew Julia very well, because he was absolutely right when he finally revealed that he was the letter writer. The story is well-written and Julia's light in her head is finally turned on.

Patiently Charmed: Doctor Jamison and Mary's Story: Historical Medical Romance Hero Hearts (Bareglen Creek) by Kate Cambridge

Rating:  ⭐⭐⭐
Although I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in the series, this story fell a little short of the two. It seemed the author worked too hard to get this couple to fall in love. It also seemed that this story worked to hard in getting the point of submission of a woman to a man across. A man doesn't need to suppress his dominance on a woman, especially one he claims to love. If two Godly people love each other, the natural order of husband and wife will take place. The story is upsetting on so many levels, including the reveal of the serial killer. As I read this story, I kept thinking of all the ways I wanted to torture Dr. Lee Jamison and bring him to his knees. I believe arrogant men need to be brought to their knees before they can be humble before God, and be a true man of God.

Itsy Bitsy Spider (Emma Frost #1) by Willow Rose

This story is not a cozy mystery and deals with some very terrifying issues.  The role back to 1977 to 1985 is sickening and gave me a very good idea to the serial killers identity. Although, I feel that Emma Frost is kind of stupid in the revealing of the killer. My attitude is to hire a exterminator and exterminate my house and the yard outside. Tarantula type spiders are a menace and should never be in your house. This story is not for reading before going to bed. The cover should tell you why. I was held to the climax of the book, but the story started to fail me after the killer's reveal.

The Needing Moore Series Trilogy: Searching for Moore, Moore to Lose, & Moore than Forever (Needing Moore #1-3) by Julie A. Richman

First of all, I must say that I'm glad I read these books as a box set. The author has no idea how to end a book, and after the first ending I would never have picked up the second book. Because they were all together, this series actually got a chance with me. I loved the two main characters and their sad story. Some of the turning back in time chapters were upsetting because even though they explained what happened to them. I wanted them over with so I could get back to what was happening now. Personally, I would have preferred starting them in college and moving them through time. I understand why the author wrote it the way she did, but like I said; I got annoyed. Even so, this book is highly passionate and emotional, and has a love that last a lifetime. I disagree with some of the principals that are applied in this story, but I do understand why Schooner left CJ, twenty-four years of deceit and hollowness was too much for Schooner to take after finding Mia again.

The Highlander's Secret Maiden: A Scottish Historical Romance Novel by Lydia Kendall

This story is has an epic plot and a conclusion that is tragic even with it's happily ever after. First, I'm afraid for Georgiana because she is young and naive. I understand her not wanting to marry Bolton, because he is a brute of a man. To run off with two strangers to another land is not only naive and stupid; it is dangerous and the conversations that both brothers engaged in front of her should have told her that was the situation. The story is tragic and heart-wrenching at times. The two brothers fighting over Georgiana broke my heart. I was hoping the brothers could resolve the situation between the two of them and the resolution is not one I would have chosen. This story is well worth the read and you'll end up attaching yourself to at least one of the characters.

Kiss Me, Cowboy (76th Copper Mountain Rodeo #3) by Melissa McClone

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Two cowhands that are in love with each, but one has a strict rule and the other needs to leave. One kiss and Charlotte is in love. Zach needed someone to listen and Charlie happened that night.  You know Zach is in denial throughout this book, because he just doesn't want Charlie to leave. I loved the stupid man and Charlotte reminded of a bit of myself. Fit in a man's world, and leave the girly stuff for your personal life, that is how Charlotte survived working with men in a job that she loves. When we see Charlie introduce Charlotte to Zach, we see a change in Zach in his attitude towards her. I loved this story and could wait until Zach open his eyes and his heart to love.

Mending the Duke: A Smithfield Market Regency Romance: Book 3 by Rose Pearson

I enjoyed this Beauty and Beast fairy tale, only the Beast wasn't only only angry and depressed. Beauty is a woman who works in an orphanage and hopes to bring peace and love to her charges. You'll love how Laura and Eloise respond to John. How they bring him back to life with their love for life, even though both have nothing but the orphanage. "Mending the Duke" is a wonderful tale to brighten your day.

Shipwrecked with a Suitor (Ravishing Regencies Book 3) by Emily Murdoch

This is a delightful tale of two people who find themselves thrown together by a war across the channel. I loved Helena right off, but Pierre had to grow on me, because he is typical of the French nobility. He only thought about himself and how he felt, never about Helena and he used Helena's feelings. He just up and left with his friend, because he preferred his luxury to what Helena had to offer. Emily Murdoch captured the attitude of the French nobility perfectly. It took a lot for me to actually to like Pierre because I hate charming men. It is their narcissism and arrogance that makes them unappealing. This story is perfect for an afternoon read.

The Captain of Her Betrayed Heart by Abigail Agar

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This story is a case of mistaken identity and a immature girl who runs away instead of facing the truth. It costs them fours years of being together, and the workings of an evil brother who plans to keep them apart forever. I still found Gwyn immature even at the end of the story and feel she never actually grew into the woman she should have been. I understand Jack's anger and the sadness of never knowing why Gwyn ran away. When Henry made Jack a pariah in his own family, I am glad Jack decided to fight when he saw that his diary had been rewritten. I loved Jack, but I felt that Gwyn deserved everything that was happening to her, because she is stupid, naive, never learn to trust the one man who really truly loved her, and listened to a man who was never trustworthy. This story is passionate and made me angry, because I hate women who are stupid and Gwyn is stupid.
