John tried very hard in this relationship, but when push came to shove; he couldn't overcome Eve's ambition. His only choice was to let her go. The climax of this story is very slow in coming, but John being a CEO is very deliberate in his planning. You'll love the ending, and everything is not resolved. Eventually, I knew it would be.
