Jeb's Mate (The Quinton Shifters #6) by Abigail Raines

Jeb is a man driven by the guilt of killing his friend. Shelly is Jeb's mate, but the problem is all in his head. Everything gets explained later on in the book. The plot is well thought out, but the self effacing is annoying. The climax is exciting and ending with our happily ever after.
