This story is delightful. Emily and Arthur are wonderful. Arthur is a little slow to realize his feelings, but knows that Davenport is not right for Emily. Emily is looking at spinsterhood, if she doesn't attract a man soon. What hoops and lines that Arthur crosses to prove to Emily that Davenport is not worth her, doesn't matter until Arthur can face his own feelings and what he wants from Emily.
