This is a strange little story about selfishness, determination, and how to ruin yourself. The story really centers around the villain instead of the main characters. It's about how jealousy turns into vindictiveness and how when love triumph's, you can be exposed for all the evil things that you instigated. Diana and Oliver are not hard to love, because they have the music which binds two souls together. The story had an unexpected turn at the end, because the aristocracy never acts like Oliver did, but desperation and anger can make one act outside of ourselves. As Helen learned, blackmail and vindictiveness never pay.
