This book is rather risque and is not your normal romance. The story is good and the Marquess seems caught in own making. Mildred is independent in thought and sometimes a little impulsive. She doesn't believe the standard marriage is for her because of her proclivities, but understand her standing in society rather well. This book is not for light-hearted reader and deals with rather dark passions. Georgette Brown goes beyond steamy.
