Hannah's Rakehell Duke (The Heir and a Spare #4) by Fiona Miers

Rating: ⭐

This story has a lot to be desired, especially our main hero. The man is an abomination to men everywhere. His behavior is irreproachable, and I don't know how a decent woman would stand him. This brings us to Hannah, our shocking American. As a plantation owner's daughter she would have had the grace of any southern belle. She had none. A Southern lady can plant, ride and shoot as well as any man, but in the tea room or ballroom; she is the epitome of civility and charm. Her behavior was the epitamy of Annie Oakley's style of behavior; brash and inappropriate. In fact, the whole story is inappropriate. In fact, Archie should have wrung John's neck and challenged him to a duel. No, he just accepts that John ruined Hannah. The plot is horrendous and the story is without real planning. Hannah just accepts John second proposal. Why? Because he proposed in front of the Ton. The climax and ending are disappointing. Wish I didn't waste my time, but I was hoping for something better to come up.
