The Mail Order Bride’s Rekindled Hope: A Historical Western Romance Novel by Etta Foster

Rating: ⭐

This story is quite redundant and stupid from the point of marrying a lawman, especially a marshal. A marshal doesn't just cover the law in his town, but in the territory. Marshal's had Federal authority to chase criminals all over the country. Polly is quite stupid to stop Edson from doing his job. Then to consider he can't go chasing criminals in his area like bank robbers is ludicrous. This story has unrealistic expectations and we are to believe the lawman is just going to let criminals roam free. There were several times I wanted to slap Polly and say wake up you chit. Polly is so unrealistic that she deserves to be alone for the rest of her life. Polly needs to get over her abandonment issues, because Edson is not the problem; she is. A real lawman would expect his wife to accept his role in life and deal with it. This story wanted to make me cringe for all lawmen everywhere. I say, go get them criminals; I'll be waiting for you, knowing you are making the world a safer place.
