Too Scandalous to Marry a Duke by Lucy Langton

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The only thing going on scandalous in this book is Daniella's behavior. This story had more potential than the author gave it. The characters have a powerful attraction, but more could have been done with Daniella than was done. Although, Eric is a bit of a rogue. He is more than willing to acquiesce to his parents will of him getting married, but he is not willing to marry for less than love. I agree with his assessment of marriage; one should not be unhappy for the rest of their lives by marrying for money and not be able to live with the person you married. I think English society takes marriage and rips it apart from what God intended for us. This story lends itself to these facts. Also, the shirtless Duke to be is off putting. The only time you see a Duke shirtless is in the bedroom or if he decides to do manual labor and takes his shirt off himself to save his clothes. Otherwise the story is quite a good read and intriguing.
