Well talk about plans going wrong! Our Alexander is a very immature young man and very rash. His plan to make the English open the ports backfires in unseen ways. Alexander is going to learn to mature very quickly, especially when he finds his captive is blind. Delilah is hidden away and is secluded. Her father keeps her ashamed of her disability. The developing relationship misses the mark, because I feel he treats Delilah the same as he treats his maids, with total disrespect of the their bodies. At least Alexander learns to mature, although it's the hard way. Alexander learns to lead his clan, but it's not going to be easy. Keeping Delilah is going to take all his strength and wits. The story plot is great, the characters need more work.
