I was loving this story, until the very end. After all the drama and the budding relationship of Ellie and Jude. The ending was missing that intense climax. The ending was not disappointing, but getting to that conclusion through the climax was the disappointment. Maybe, if the author had written in Jude's confrontation and conversation with Ellie's father that may have helped towards the conclusion.
