This story has it all. There is a mystery of misplaced things, and William is concerned about Debbey, because she was attacked by wolves in England. There are no wolves in England, the early 1500's they had all been wiped out of England. Anyway, concerned that she is presenting signs of rabies. Debbey must traverse the English nobility, because she is now a Vicountess. The mother-in-law that is trying to destroy Debby, because she doesn't think she is good enough for William. This woman seriously needs to be in an asylum. We understand why William left England and ventured to America. His family dynamics are horrible and the death that his father and brother suffered was due to their own sins. It becomes clearer that the sins this family have compounded are being exposed as William takes over the Viscountcy. You'll stay glued to the very end, because you never know what is going to come out about William's family next.
