The Lady's Smile by Fiona McKellar
This book is quite different from the usual highland books. Most are about the upper crust of Scotland or some clan. This is about a tavern called "The Lady's Smile" and it's owners. We meet Louisa, the owner and her niece, Gelis. Our hero enters, when he saves Gelis from some soldiers. I really like this story, but felt it fell short. It felt like the interaction between the two characters could have been more connected. Otherwise, the story was very good.
