This book is about an interior designer, Carrie. She comes home to find her boyfriend of six years having sex with a woman he picked up at bar doing it on their kitchen counter. She moves out, instead of throwing him out, since she's the one with the job. She decides to move from Dallas to Palm Beach, Florida to start new in her life. Besides, she is tired of Roger showing up everywhere and trying to apologize. In Palm Beach, she meets Brad. Personally, I could never fall in love with a man named Brad. I actually hate that name. And his first introduction to Carrie, he came off as "Sleazy Brad". Brad proves himself later on in the book, but still Carrie compromises her work ethics to be with him. Although this book is well written, I find the values of these characters lacking.
