I found Kathleen to be very spoiled and for just to agree to marry a man after she finds out that he abducted her from his brother is pathetic, Especially after she escaped marrying a man thirty years her senior. Any situation this woman found herself in from then on was her own doing. Dan was beyond generous in having her in his home after what his brother had done. Personally, he should have put her back on the train to Boston, after he got her marriage to his brother annulled. For Dan to fall in love with Kathleen was a tragedy in of itself. I rate this story as three because the writing and the plot of story were well written, however Kathleen as a character inspired me to say take that you deserve every unhappiness and unfortunate thing that comes your way.
